I've made these several times and they are so delicious. I've never had a problem with the recipe. Just have the oats, peanut butter & vanilla ready to go so you don't have to take the time to measure. Then, make the cookies right away.

I just made this recipe...I did add a slight amount more oatmeal than called for because it seemed like it should have been a little thicker. Also, I added the vanilla into the wet stuff way before adding the PB and oats. Also--I didn't time it. Apparently people have a very difficult time with this step--I have no idea why! I brought it to a rolling boil, stirred it a little, and then took it off the heat after I thought a couple minutes passed. I am sure I cooked it longer than the 90 seconds posted. Lastly, I stirred in the PB after turning the heat off and stirred the PB to let it completely melt before adding the oats. After dropping on wax paper, I waited an hour, and they were PERFECT!! DEEEEEELICIOUS!

This recipe is AWSOME! It is so easy to make and my family LOVES it! For the best cookies it is important to follow cooking times exactly. We love these cookies so much that we have them at least once a week!

My husband and youngest daughter love these cookies. It's a great recipe when you want cookies but can't or don't want to use the oven. And yes they are very sweet but you shouldn't complain. Just look at the ingredients. How could they be anything else?

This is the original receipe. I had lost mine and was happy to find it here. The only difference is I boil 3 minutes. I had bought some natural peanut butter with no sugar in it that worked fine in this recipe.

Great tasting cookies that take so little time and effort! I love these for summer time, when it is too hot to turn on the oven. My 16 year-old son wanted to know when I was planning on making more....they didn't last long with him around! Definitely have a glass of milk ready to serve with these. Thanks for sharing - great recipe!

These were alright. I did add coconut as recommended by another reviewer, and I'm glad I did because it added more flavor. The kids liked them, probably because they were very sweet. It would be better if the directions were a little more detailed as far as cooking the chocolate mixture. I may try these again...

So good!! The sugar was just right. I added some semi-sweet chocolate chips while I was boiling. Plus I added the oats while the pot was still on the stove. It cooked the oats a bit. My husband loved them!!

This is an easy and good tasting cookie for the busy cook. I added the cocoa when the sugar/butter/milk mixture started to boil and boiled fully for 2 minutes, then added 1 tsp. vanilla. I used 3/4c of coconut for the extra ingredient. The cookies were perfect. Thanks for sharing.

Recipe is tasty! One thing was to be sure that the peanutbutter is melted in nicely before adding the oatmeal, otherwise it's hard to blend the pb in well. If your cookies are too soft, put them in the fridge and eat them cold-still delicious.

This recipe is so easy and also a great one to make on hot steamy days; no heating the oven up! I used creamy peanut butter and they were loved by my family. :)

I couldn't find my mom's recipe, but this came close. These came out fine after boiling about two minutes, but I also used cold peanut butter (refrigeration keeps the oil from separating in natural peanut butter). These cookies are meant to be sweet, but I wonder if the people who thought these were TOO sweet used sweetened peanut butter (most major brands) instead of natural. I use Teddy--just roasted peanuts and a little salt.

For once I was trying desperately to follow this recipe exactly so I could give it a fair rating! Unfortunately, I discovered I didn't have any vanilla extract, so I had to substitute almond extract. I think these were still delicious. They are definitely SWEET. Don't expect otherwise and you won't be disappointed!

Very good! These are VERY time sensitive in relation to the boiling portion. But they are good whether cooked too long or not long enough. Once in awhile I'll under cook them but they still taste good eaten with a spoon!
