Have used several no bake cookie recipes (inc. No Bake Cookies V), and this is the only one that never set up. When trying to pick up the oatmeal plop, looked like a chocolate melted mess underneath, and this was hours later.

I just made these cookie's. They turned out Great! I did use a little more coca and creamy penut butter. Very please with the results. Quick & Simple, they taste GREAT! My daughter asked for them this morning, she has a home field hockey game tonight, thought I would just do it and get them done, start to finish about 40 minutes. Thank you!

tasted great! halved the recipe and added a little bit more peanut butter than was called for. I timed about a minute and a half after it started a rolling boil to put them on a pyrex dish (i didn't have wax paper) and the consistency and taste was perfect!

These were good - my 6 year old cousin does not care much for sweets but he loves these! I do add a bit more peanut butter - and a tiny bit extra vanilla but that is my personal choice of flavor! I dont know why people have a difficult time getting the cookies to set - it is not rocket science let them get to a rolling boil for about 1 and a half to 2 minutes . . . if you have made nobakes before you will know when it is ready! I also let them set in the pan for about a minute before putting them on wax paper - it makes a thicker cookie! If you want a quicker set let them cool about 15 minutes and pop them in the fridge for another 15 and they will be nice and firm.

Thanks! I had this recipe a long time ago and lost it...these are the best cookies. We can hardly let them set before we start eating them. I put an extra spoonful of peanut butter, but otherwise followed the recipe exactly, boiling time, etc and they're perfect!!!

My kids love this cookie recipe more than any other. It has chocolate and peanut butter and they can do it themselves without alot of supervision. We make this one almost every week!

Love this recipe. This is the only recipe I use for no bake cookies (or cat mess cookies as my husband calls them). These always turn out good.

Good simple recipe. I put the cookies in a muffin tin to cool, they get a nice round shape when they set and it makes it easier to get them to a uniform size (mostly).

Delish! I cut the sugar to 1 1/2 cups, and realized I didn't have enough cocoa powder, so I threw in some chocolate chips as well. Followed the cooking instructions exactly and had no problems setting. Will make these again!

This is the first cookie I every made, some 43 years ago. The difference in my recipe and this one, 2 cups sugar, 1/2 cup cocoa, 2 cups oatmeal and boil for 1 minute. If it is humid, I always increase the time by 15 seconds and have never had them fail.

I followed the advice of one of the other reviewers and liked the results. I used creamy peanut butter and added 1/4 cup. This made them taste just like I remember from when I was a kid.:) One thing I really think is important is about a half cup more oats. The way the recipe is now there isn't enough. I can't wait to try them with coconut! :) Also I think marshmallows would be so good in this, maybe even to just put a few minis on top after already putting the dough on wax paper. Yummmmm.... :)

Great recipe! Perfect flavor! Be sure to stay at the sauce pan when mixture coming to a boil and stir constantly. Don't over cook or they will turn out gritty. Thanks for sharing the recipe! :)
