These were simple and good. Very rich so make sure to cut into tiny squares. Will make these again.

Because I used less butter (like others recommended) I found that when eating the bars, the oatmeal topping kept falling off. I think next time I will make with the stated amount of butter, so that maybe it will stick together better. Great recipe - everyone loved them! Made two batches - one with semi-sweet and the other with milk chocolate - don't know that I could tell much of a difference in the taste.

These were very good, I took advice from another and used 2/3 C margarine and 1/2 C b sugar for the base, I only had 2 C of the oats so I used all of that for the base. I used semi and milk choc. chips with the peanut butter for the filling and added a layer of cheerios pressed onto the top. My daughter turned her nose up at it when she saw the cheerios, but she had a bar of this in her hand on her way out the door this morning! I will try these again but I will use the oats/b sugar for the topping.

I loved these. I followed the recipe exactly except that I substituted milk chocolate chips for the semi-sweet. Just my personal preference. SO yummy!

Utterly fabulous! I love chocolate, peanut butter and oats, so these bars were a dream come true. I cut the margarine to 2/3 of a cup and added a bit more peanut butter. For a 9x13 I did 1.5 times the recipe and it was perfect. Thanks for a real winner.

Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, YUM! I found something for all the kids. These are the best! I thought of putting a tablespoon of Nutella in, but I didn't. These were very good. Thank you very much!

oh my gosh...this has to be the best choclate/peanut butter bar ever. It is SO simple -taking about 7 minutes- and is so good! The only thing I hate is waiting for it to cool!!

This recipe was just okay for us. I can't put my finger on why. It wasn't bad, just not great. I love all of these ingredients, I guess just not like this. I will probably not make them again. Edit-5/29/09-I decided since these have such rave reviews, I must have done something wrong to not have loved these! Well, not sure what I did wrong the first time, but I am upgrading this from 3 to 4 stars. I made sure to gently smoosh the top layer of oats into the chocolate mixture, that seemed to keep them from being so crumbly, too.

Also made butter & peanut butter 3/4c. Used aluminum foil to line pan - no greasing and no dirty pan. Milk chocolate would have been better, the semi-sweet doesn't taste as good with peanut butter.

Very Very Good! I made these bars two times now. The first time semi-sweet chips were used and the second all I had were milk chocolate. I much prefer the taste of the semi-sweet morsels in these yummy bars. Make sure you take copies of the recipe with you if you! I have had the requested for parties and had to write this out for people several times now.

I was looking for something quick and easy to throw together for a cookie contest at work when I saw this recipe. It took only a few minutes to assemble everything and make a batch. I couldn't believe how simple it was. The best part - I won best overall cookie! And odds are you already have all these ingredients on hand. It's no-fail! Thanks so much for this recipe!!

These bars were pretty good but I did find the oatmeal mixture alittle on the buttery side. If I ever make them again I will cut the butter down to 1/2 cup.

5 for simplicity, 3 for taste. These were okay, but they tasted just like the "no-bake cookies" we made in home ec (years ago :).
