A bit bland for my tastes but a good basic recipe for when you are serving a group people and aren't quite sure what their tastes are. It is also looks nice on the plate. I crumbled some bacon into the salad. Next time I will add a squirt of spicy mustard. I think it will give it a nice kick.

I love this salad! It is very flavorful on its own, but I did add chopped bacon and it was absolutely perfect. The kids gobbled it right up. I will be making this again. Thank you!

This was a HUGE hit at a potluck I brought it to, got a compliment from everyone! I only used one cup of mayo and added minced garlic, bacon and shredded cheddar cheese. I boiled the potatoes slow as another reviewer recommended. When they were done boiling, I cut them in half and spread the potatoes open on a cookie sheet and put them in the fridge to cool faster. The way this recipe asks you to cook the eggs is weird though, I tried it and my eggs were still a bit uncooked. Still an awsome tasting recipe!!

I made it and it was yummy. I did make the following changes: no eggs (didn't have any) less mayo (could not bring myself to use 1 1/2 cups!) I used 3/4 cup. I tripled the milk though. Next time I make it I will probably add bacon or boiled eggs or capers.

it was a great creamy potato salad. as is it was a little bland so i cut down the mayo by 1/2c and subbed sour cream and added extra garlic and spice to my taste. overall very good basic recipe that you can elaborate to your own style.

This recipe is really good and easy to make. I do however use less mayo than the directions call for. Everyone in my family loves it when I make this.

I hated potato salad until this recipe came along. It's the only one I will eat. My husband gets me to make it just so he can take it in his lunch. We make it just as the recipe says. Super big hit!

This was very bland, even after I added dill. Absolutely way too much mayonnaise - unless you really like it - and I had cut it in half. If I make this again, I would definitely add garlic, fresh herbs (dill or maybe tarragon?) and possibly some mustard - it really needs something.

This was an all around great potatoe salad recipe. It was my first time making it but it tasted delicious. One thing to do is to leave yourself plenty of time to make this or make it the day before. I misjudged how long it would take the potatoes and eggs to cool.

I made it for lunch today, and it was DELICIOUS! I made it without the celery, and it was pretty darn good. Awesome recipe!

This is a very good potato salad. I didn't have green onion so I used yellow onion instead and I used about a 1-2 teaspoons of sugar to tone down the bitterness of the vinegar as suggested by a previous review. I think next time I will use less vinegar and less mayo, but otherwise a very good recipe.

This recipe is a keeper for me. I am not a fan of hard boiled eggs so I eliminated those and added 1/2 t. of celery salt & a little dry mustard. I also reduced the mayo to one cup. Real yummy taste and I loved the green onions.

I made some changes to modify our taste. With these changes, I think this is a great recipe and simple too. I omitted the eggs (don't care for eggs). I reduced mayo by 1/2. I added more green onions. I also added a few dashes of Worcestershire sauce, 1/4 teaspoon of celery seed and 1/4 teaspoon dill. Also, needed more salt than recipe stated. Per all recipes' cooking potatoes tips, my potatoes were the perfect texture. I left the skins on cut them into bite-size chunks. Place them in a pot and cover them with water. Bring to a boil and salt the water. Keep the pot at a gentle boil and cook for approx. 8-15 minutes until tender and drain. Cool potatoes by spreading them on a baking sheet in a single layer. I never liked making potatoe salad because I'd either have hard or mushy potatoes. If you follow the cooking steps, I think you'll have perfectly cooked potatoes.

I have tried soooo many potato salad recipes and every single one of them would be missing something . . .but this one has it all. Great texture, great flavor, not too much mayo. I did add some dill, but other than that it was perfect. I took it to a barbeque and my friends have already requested it twice more since then.

Excellent! My family loved this easy, easy, easy potato salad. My advice: if you follow the recipe, as is, add some sugar to counter balance the vinegar. YUMMY!

This recipe is incredibly easy, but tastes awesome! A few simple adjustments on my end (more onion, no celery), but I loved it. I like not having to peel the potatoes, and the red gives it some color!

This was my first try at making potato salad and it came out great. I skipped the celery and green onions and substituted fresh green peppers, and added some garlic for a different taste. Yummy!

I made a few changes to this recipe and it turned out great (except for the potatoes that weren't cooked enough despite the fact that I boiled them for 20 minutes). Modifications: Added 1 tbsp of mustard and 1 tsp of Worchestershire.
