Good, but this is not the real recipe for the Neiman Marcus cookies. You may actually find it in this site under "Urban Legend Chocolate Chip Cookies", there's a cookie to die for!

I didn't try this recipe because I got the original email for the neiman marcus 250 cookie and this isn't it. I just wanted to share it with everyone and that mean putting in a rating. Anyhow, here it is: follow directions for this existing recipe you have here but only use these ingredients. makes 112 cookies bec. this is the ORIGINAL neiman marcus recipe from that email I got way back in 1996. Enjoy! 2 cups butter 4 cups flour 2 tsp baking soda 2 cups white sugar 5 cups blended oatmeal(measure 5 cups then put that in the blender) 4 cups chocolate chips or 24 oz. 2 cups brown sugar 1 tsp salt 8 oz hershey bar grated(I hate grating this bar but I always do for this cookie) 4 eggs 2 tsp baking powder 3 cups chopped nuts(your choice) 2 tsp vanilla I make the whole big batch and then roll the whole dough into balls and just bake the amout of cookies I want to bake, the rest of the balls I leave in the freezer for another day.

I recently made this recipe after printing it out from the Neiman Marcus website, and it says to bake the cookies in a 300 degree oven for about 20 minutes (not at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes). These cookies stayed very moist and chewy much longer than any other chocolate chip cookies I've made, and I think the reason is that they were baked at a lower temperature.
