Muddled mint and rum. Similar to a mint julep, but made with rum instead of bourbon. This cocktail has recently become popular again.

I served this cocktail for the first time at a wedding shower and it was a hit! Since then I make it whenever strawberries are in season. I have substituted raspberries when I had them on hand and it was great!

It is drink is a variation of a classic cocktail called a Strawberry Fizz that was traditionally served in a 6-8 ounce glass filled with fine ice and topped with charged water. The Tabu Cocktail is a great introduction to gin for the non-gin drinker and a must for those that enjoy a gin based cocktail.
