"I had a great create your own smoothie at the Minneapolis raw food restaurant, Ecopolitan. I tried to recreate it but came up with something delicious and unique!"

Ingredients

  • 2 cups crushed ice
  • 5 1/2 ounces coconut milk
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 teaspoons ground flax seed
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Place the place the crushed ice, coconut milk, and milk into a blender. Add the sugar, honey, flax seed, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and vanilla extract. Cover, and puree until smooth. Pour into glasses to serve.

I didn't think that ecopolitan approved of sugar so I am surprised at this addition and wonder...
