I modified the recipe slightly by sprinkling some cinnamon and brown sugar on top of the apples before putting the crumbs on top. It was very tasty - especially served warm with ice cream.

Oh..My..God. This is the BEST recipe for Apple Crisp I've ever used. It turns out perfectly with butter or margarine, and is divine when served hot with a side of vanilla bean ice cream! This NEVER fails to impress or satisfy!

I found the apple crisp to be a little sour, so mix the apples with some sugar before adding in the mixture of oats and flour. Another helpful hint is to mix half of the oats mixture in with the apples and then leave the other half on top.

This is a great recipe. I took the advice of another reviewer and used a smaller baking dish. I won't put the cinnamon on top again as it got rather dark looking. I will sprinkle on the apples as another viewer suggested. I served it warm with french vanilla ice cream. Yummy!

I made this with 3 pears, 3 tart apples and a few chopped up cranberries. It turned out fabulous, the topping is excellent!

I thought this was a really easy and tasty recipe. Next time though I think a smaller pan may be better as it was a bit thin. Family definitely enjoyed it with lots of ice cream!

This is the best apple crisp recipe that I have found so far. I enjoyed the crispy topping. It doesn't get soggy. The only thing I won't do next time is add the remaining cinnamon on top. I would prefer to sprinkle that on the apples instead. Loved it!

The crust and apples are both done at the same time, and the apples don't sit in goo at the end-- everything stays very crisp.

My husband really liked this. My daughter was not so thrilled, think it was the oatmeal.... I would definately make this again though!! Used 3/4 c. sugar instead of 1 cup because I used empire apples which are sweeter.....
