Really, really good. The only change I made was I used brown sugar instead of white sugar. Excellent recipe. Thanks!

Super easy to make! Very tasty! I used granny smith apples and thought that the tartness made the apple crisp perfect and not too sweet.

I changed this recipe a bit. I used whatever apples I had, a few Red Delicious a few Granny Smith. I used a 9"x9" glass dish. I put a little lime juice on the apples and about 1/5 cup sugar and a little cinnamon and coated the apples. I sprayed the botton or the dish with Pam first. I did the topping mostly as is but added 1/4 walnuts. I cooked it on 350 for 50 minutes. I just had a taste and it is very yummy! It would be awesome with some ice cream!

Loved it. This is an easy fool proof crisp. I have made it three times. First time just as the recipe directs. The second time I put a a little less sugar in the topping and a little extra oats. And tonight I am experimenting with using it as a topping on my regular apple pie. I sweetened the apples only a little, added a tablespoon of tapioca, baked in the crust for 15 minutes then added topping. Wonderful.

I used brown sugar instead of white, and 3/4 cup of melted butter instead of 1/2 cup. Overall it had a very good flavor, however my wife and I both thought it needed to be sweeter. I also used another's suggestion of 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1/4 tsp. nutmeg, and 1 tsp. cinnamon mixed with the apples. Next time, I will mix a 1/4 cup of sugar with the apples, and 1 cup of melted butter for the topping (omit the 1/4 cup cut into pieces).

Not the best apple crisp I've ever had, not as juicy and sweet. But very easy to make and is a great use of those apples before you toss them!

I've never made an apple crisp before, but knew I was in good hands when I saw the other reviews. I normally don't change up a recipe before I try it as is, but I did this time around. Instead of sprinkling the extra tablespoon of cinnamon over the top, I mixed it in with the apples. I also sprinkled brown sugar over the top once all put together. My family loved it - definitely a keeper!
