Tastes authentic. I love the extra kick that the garlic flavor gives.

Wow! These are really excellent. My family LOVED them. I served them with some spicy curries and some cucumber raita and it was a hit. This bread is very easy to make and they cook up very easy. Just a funny side note, I got partway through the recipe and noticed I didn't have any eggs, so I tried making it without the egg. They turned out great anyway....soft, chewy and delicious! So, if you don't have egg or are allergic and still want to make this recipe, it works! I added garlic to the dough and then added garlic to some melted butter and brushed them with the buttery garlic. Just amazing! Thanks for this easy and incredibly tasting recipe!

This is so easy to make, I don't think I will ever buy store bought naan again. I only used half of the dough so I froze the rest to use at a later date. Grilled them on a stove top grill and omitted the garlic.

Oh my yummy naan goodness!!!! Great recipe... used the trick with the lid on a cast iron skillet, and got the bubbles... It was tasty and wonderful! Thank you!

I followed this recipe exactly and it came out just perfect. I found myself craving naan all the time. I've since made it again with one cup of wheat flour and it was still just amazing.

Delicious! I used a pizza stone (oven - 500 degrees) and olive oil instead of butter.

I agree with the other few people on this recipe. Its not naan, more like a sweet flatbread pancake. It wasn't bad, just not naan. I made some chutney to go with it and it just didn't do the job. Too much sugar and flour were called for in my opinion.

On my first try I managed to make a better naan than any local restaurant using this recipe. Definitely 5 star material. Like others have mentioned, I only needed approximately 3 1/2 cups of flour.

Wow. I am impressed, I MADE NAAN!!!! I have never tried it from scratch before, never really tried any bread from scratch...and I did it! This was a great recipe! I followed another reviewers suggestion and left out the garlic and instead basted the bread w/ garlic infused butter. While this was tasty, next time I'll probably add the garlic to the douugh- there just wasn't enough garlic flavor for me! I used a cast iron skillet on the stove top to make them- worked great. Just watch your heat. I kept mine on med/med low and they turned out great...med/med high and I was scortching them! Thanks for the recipe, I might try other breads now!

outstanding. Took a couple hours to rise, rather than the 1 hour suggested by the recipe. We grilled the naan in a hot, well-oiled non-stick grill pan - came out perfectly.

I can't imagine a lot of recipes being better than this one. These are PERFECT. Just like the restaurant and maybe even a better. The garlic flavor takes the Naan to another level and I could eat this flat bread with so many different sauces or toppings. It does stand alone as well. All I have in the apartment to eat it with is some peach salsa, but I'm tempted to just slab some more butter on it! First rate!

plan for twice the time for rising. And yes, don't forget to add the sugar to the yeast and water (~1 TBLSPN?). My leftover dough sat in a bowl in the ove (turned off) covered with a moist towel all night by mistake. Whoops! There was finally dough that had risen. Who knew. I fried it up and it was delic! Better than the day before b/c i never got the first batch to rise. Im sure this is not the way to do things, but either way it was delicious.

I followed the recipe but used only 4 cups of flour. Didn't want to fire up the grill(11pm) nor use a skillet, so I turned my gas stove burner on low and cooked it over the open fire, turning 1/4 turns until brown on one side then cooked the other side. Had it with Indian Curry...Excellent!

After reading the reviews, I added 1/2 ts of baking soda. I also cooked them on a nonstick skillet with a lid. These were wonderful. The only change I will make next time is decrease the sugar to about a tablespoon. Now I have a great bread to go with my curries. Thanks

Very easy, turned out great. I had the oven on as high as it would go and cooked them right on the rack. I tried the baking stone too but with poor results.

This was SO tasty. I wasn't able to grill the bread so I just put it in a frying pan over medium heat. I'm sure it would have been even better on the grill.

This was the best Naan I have ever tasted. The only thing I changed was I used a little extra garlic and I sprinkled some curry over the dough before kneading in the garlic. My husband and I both loved it and so did my six year old daughter. She said it was the best bread she's ever tasted. My husband said, "You could start your own business with this stuff."
