My Mom's Baja Burger

By: Jen
"This isn't your average burger. It's a burger made Baja-style! No Grill? No worries! This burger is made in a skillet and is easy to make! My Mom made this when we were young. It's a burger creation made with corn chips and spices served up on French bread."

  • 1 cup corn chips such as Fritos®
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 (28 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 onion, chopped

  • 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 8 (6 inch) French bread rolls, split in half lengthwise

Directions

  1. Mix the ground beef and corn chips; form into 8 oblong patties; season with salt and pepper. In a small bowl, mix together the tomato sauce, onion, garlic salt, and chili powder.
