This recipe reminds me of homemade french dressing from Berry's Restaurant in Brevard, NC. It is spicy and sweet and the texture is smooth and is so much better than any store bought french dressing. I highly recommend this recipe.

If you don't like Blue Cheese, you won't like it. Otherwise, it was good. I thought I'd give it a try because I love French Dressing but the Blue Cheese ruined it for me.

YUM! This dressing is awesome. I didn't have any blue cheese so I didn't put any in and it still tasted great!

I LOVED the blue cheese in this, but found the dressing too sweet. Will make it again and adjust the sugar accordingly

Yummy!! Dinner was just about done when I realized we didn't have any salad dressing...I found this recipe and tried it because I had all the ingredients. The only thing I didn't have was time...time to deal with the onion and garlic. I had some garlic powder and onion powder in the spice rack. I had no idea how much to use to make it equivalent, so I just added one teaspoon of each, since thats the amount used for the salt and paprika. Don't know if it's right or not, but hey it worked, cause it tastes wonderful!! Thanks Jim, now I've got the best french dressing in an old salsa jar...lol

This was great! The only item I did not add was bleu cheese. Everthing else was a staple in the pantry so I can whip this up anytime.

This is hands down the best french dressing I have tasted. I love the blue cheese, I used to add crumbled blue cheese to my bottled french dressing, but this is so much better! I will never use bottled again!

Your grandmother rocks!! I too omitted the Blue Cheese and used Splenda instead of sugar to try and cut some calories, but this is by far the best recipe for French dressing I have ever made (and I've tried quite a few). Thanks so much for sharing.

Wonderful recipe! The only changes I made were I used onion powder instead of grated onion and left out the blue cheese. It was so easy to make, I'll never buy this from the store again.

My family loves this salad dressing - with or without the blue cheese. It is reminiscent of Kraft's Catalina Dressing - who ever would have thought you could make it at home.

Absolutley Wonderful! I was looking for an old classic from a Restaurant my husband and I used to visit and low and behold this was it!! I didn't add the onions (bc I didn't have them in the house) and I added 1/2 a tsp of Worcestershire. I searched for more recipes by this submitter but didn't find any - PLEASE POST MORE!!!!

WOW! Super flavor! I omitted the blue cheese because I didn't have any on hand, and used dried minced onions (followed conversion on side of jar) to save time. I added 1t Worcestershire sauce. EXCELLENT! I will try adding the blue cheese next time. 9 servings makes 3 cups, so plan to have a LARGE jar, or scale down. Great recipe! Thanks to your Grandmother! 5++++
