This was ok. I let the mixture simmer for over an hour- I added mushrooms and sauted onions. Instead of the soup mix I used french onion soup. The taste was a little off and the meat was a funky texture. I will not make again but thanks for the recipe!

Had never cooked with cube steak before, but the simplicity of this recipe and the delicious result made this a "keeper" in the good-in-a-hurry file! Jewell

This was really simple and yummy! I used a can of Campbells french onion soup instead of the dry onion soup packet and I served it over egg noodles...I will definitely make it again.

I get alot of venison cube steak from my dad and have never been a big fan, so it usually sits in my freezer. I thought I would try again, and found this recipe to be the best cube steak I've ever tasted. It was SO tender. Did modify the recipe as follows for the pressure cooker: After browning steak and removing from pressure cooker, I deglazed the pan with 1 cup water, added 1/2 package onion soup mix, returned cube steak to pan and cooked under pressure for 10 minutes. Quick released pressure and added one cup milk to pan, heated to a simmer, stirring to combine until gravy thickened.

This is the ONLY way to make cube steak. I made this quite a few times since I first saw the recipe about 6 months ago. It is one of my wife & sons favorite meals. Making it again tonight...for my in-laws.

It was not bad, but didn't go over so well with the family. I think my hubby was looking for a more traditional chicken fried steak.

This was excellent! I have never been good with cube steak, but his turned out great! I cut mine in finger sized pieces and it was tender and the gravy was just right. I did deglaze my pan with a little wine and added a bit of beef broth as it cooked to make more gravy, but that's all. Next time I'll remember to add mushrooms. This is definitely a keeper for us. Thanks for a great recipe!!!

Pretty good. This was easy and used things I usually have on hand. I used beefy onion soup and ground sirloin. I used an egg wash to help the flour adhere. I added a little bread crumbs and a tiny bit of season all to the flour. I only simmered the meat patties in the gravy for 10 min. My husband wasn't too impressed with this recipe, but I liked it and my son had two servings. Thanks, this was a nice comfort meal.

After reading the reviews I decided to make this for dinner last night. Afraid of having a "too salty" dish, I used garlic powder instead of garlic salt and omitted the salt. In the end, I should have used a little more. Another alteration I would make is to mix the salt, pepper, and garlic salt with the flour so more of those flavors get into the meat better. It sure smelled great while it was simmering! Hubby came down from upstairs to see what it was that smelled so good!
