One of the best - we like our chowders quite thick, so I added a little instant mashed potatoes to the milk mixture - Great!!

this recipes was wonderful. didn't last long in my house. 15 year old and 6 year devoured it too. I added some milk on day 2 to dilute it. It still tasted great.

"The best I have ever tasted," exclaimed my chowder loving husband! Excellence and simplicity are rare in the same recipe but this one scores on both. It will definetely be a favorite in our house!

This was great!! My husband, the clam chowder critic, says it is the best he has had. I added a little corn starch to thicken a little more because he loves it really thick. Great with sourdough bread. It makes a ton but I hear no complaints about having to eat leftovers!

The chowder was very thick when I served it and got even thicker as it cooled. Next time I'll use 1/2 cup flour and add another can of clams. My Husband & I thought it was pretty good!
