Wow, this was excellent! I didn't read the review before making, which was a mistake because it would have been so much easier to bake this in a disposable huge roasting pan. I used 2 lasagne pans and struggled to mix it all up. Oh well, I got through it. I didn't have a problem with grainy texture, but I remained patient with my caramel sauce, letting it warm up slowly (yes, it takes a while, but I didn't want to have to do it again) I made one batch with dry roasted nuts and one without. The one with nuts was way better. I'm making this again on the weekend and am going to load it with nuts. Excellent! For the popcorn I used 2 bags of Vic's white popcorn from the grocery store. It was already salted so I omitted the salt in the caramel sauce. Also used butter instead of margarine.
