I made this (among other goodies) for Christmas presents and it was a hit! Next time I am going to try and mix the nuts in when I pour the carmel over the popcorn - otherwise all of the nuts sink to the bottom of the popcorn making it harder to get a good mix of popcorn and nuts.

This is by far the best caramel corn recipe! I have made it for the holidays for the past 3 years and people think it is the best they have ever tasted!

This was great! It was easy to make and great to give as gifts. I did over cook it though, had a slight burnt taste. I think I would either lower the baking temp or cooking time to 45 mins...perhaps it's just my oven. But great recipe! Thanks for sharing.

This is my first review. I had to rate this recipes. It's so easy and freakin' delicious! The popcorn melts in your mouth, and oh my, just so wonderful. I am giving the popcorn as gifts for my daughters preschool teachers. Thanks for this outstanding recipe.

So yummy and easy!!! The only thing I changed was using butter instead of margarine. I used my deepest roasting pan, which made the stirring a lot less messy. This is the perfect goodie to send with Christmas presents! Thank you for sharing!

This is the best caramel popcorn I've tried. Homemade or store-bought. It makes a hard popcorn, not soft, but it melts in your mouth without sticking to your teeth the way some do. My husband loved it so much that we made it twice in one week to hand out on our Christmas goody plates.

This is very good. I can't wait to share it tonight. Hopefully it will go over as well as it did with me. I used fresh home made popcorn. Maybe a little less than stated in ingredients. Then I cooked it for 1 hour at 200 degrees.

Very, very good. Just let the brown sugar mixture come to a boil over medium heat - it will take some time. I used the brown bag method and it worked well with my hubby shaking the bag as I poured in the mixture.

I only gave the recipe four stars because it's the first caramel corn I've ever tried to make. However it is FANTASTIC and deserves all the accolades already posted. My husband and son ate so much of this last night I am making more to give to our friends for the holidays. I advise using the paper bag method as it makes cleanup very easy. YUM!

Fabulous. I made for a Holiday treat for my neighbors and got rave reviews. Easy and yummy. I may add M & M's next time after the corn has cooled.

This recipe was a huge hit! My entire family loved it, and they want to make a family tradition. The only thing we changed about the recipe was doubling the caramel for each batch. That way they were all coated nicely. We also cooked it at 200 for about 25 min. and then at 215 for the last 15 min. The popcorn doesn't need to cook for an hour, 35 min was perfect, nice and crunchy not too chewy. This is definately a keeper.

I'm the cook who posted this recipe and to those who had issues with the syrup being grainy...take heart!...I've had that happen to me once or twice too. I think that this happens when I'm impatient and try to bring everything to a boil too quickly and some of the sugar is not fully dissolved. I have also seen that boiling it too rapidly also seems to make the mixture want to crystalize. I recommend using a medium high heat (stoves will vary) just so that you have a nice SLOW bubbling boil going. Once crystalization happens there's nothing to do to reverse it so that batch is pretty much a gonner at that point. I've also read that humidity and heat (air temperature) play a roll in candy making and it is best to do this on cool dry days. Hopefully these tips will help.

What am I doing wrong?? I follow the instructions to a T and it turns out really grainy? IS this just me or has anyone else had this problem..please help me fix it! I can't figure out why it's not pretty and shiny like carmel corn should be...this is my 2nd batch! The taste is good but just weird clumpy texture
