Okay, so when I read the directions, I was a little confused how you needed 18 slices of bread for 9 servings. I improvised and did two slices per cup, making nine cups and kind of overlapping them. I had just enough "filling" for nine cups, which was just enough for our family. I did add fresh ground pepper as well. I did try to use lower fat, healthier ingredients in this recipe, like ground turkey, 2% sharp cheddar and lower fat cream of soup. This was nice for the kids but and my husband and I ate it, but I would have rather had plain SOS. I can imagine it would be quite greasy if I hadn't used ground turkey, 2% sharp cheddar and the lower-calorie cream of soup. Cute idea. I did end up serving a nice broccoli salad with it.

These were really good. I used a regular size muffin pan. It still turned out very good. It hit the spot. Very easy dinner and my 1 year old loved it. I used bell peppers instead of onions because I did not have any onions and it was delicious!
