Original Recipe Yield 1 tube pan
 

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 cups cake flour
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 4 cups chopped walnuts

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease tube pan with butter.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix cake flour, self rising flour, salt and nuts. Set aside.
  3. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat until creamy. Add flour mixture and beat until smooth.
  4. Pour into tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) for 1 1/2 hours. Allow to cool before removing from pan.
