My absolutely favorite snickerdoodle recipe!! The cookies come out perfect, not too hard, not too soft and they stay that way for several days (although ours usually don't last the long...). Thanks for the great recipe!

I loved these cookies! I'm making them for Thanksgiving and taking them on the train to my friend's house. She'll be lucky if I don't eat them all on the way.

FANTASTIC cookie! So easy and delicious - my 9 year old son bakes these on his own. My co-workers begs for these around the holidays. Thanks Mrs. Sigg! You did it again!

Soft, Chewy and perfect. I just followed the instruction exactly and they came out wonderful! I only put them in the oven for 7 min then pulled them out to let them cook the rest of the way on the pan.

These are better than my mom's! The only thing I changed was the ratio of sugar to cinnamon. Using that combination was just too spicy for me. I suggest increasing the sugar to 3 T and decreasing the cinnamon to 1t. I gave these to my sister in law as a house-warming gift. They're excellent.

I realize this recipe probably does NOT need one more review, I had to add my praise for a perfect snickerdoodle recipe. I have tried many, but this is the best - probably because of the mix of butter and shortening. I should also add that I creamed the butter/shortening and sugar for a long time, probably 3-5 minutes. I made a complete batch to take to a casual dinner party and eight people gobbled them all up. Thanks Mrs. Sigg - this is the only recipe I'll ever use again. My husband loves them, and he is a cookie connisseur.

This is the best snickerdoodle recipe I've tried, they came out perfect. I recommend sifting the dry ingredients so you don't end up with any clumps of cream of tartar in the dough. The dough was very soft but wasn't sticky. Used the plastic bag method to coat with sugar as recommended by other reviewers.

These cookies are awesome! I did not have enough cinnamon/sugar mixture so I started coating the cookies in just sugar and they also tasted great. Do not overbake them - they should still be a little soft when they come out of the oven. I can't wait to make these again.

I have lost count of how many batches I've made, and every single cookie was happily devoured by friends, family and coworkers. It never disappoints! The dough was a bit harder to handle when a storm rolled through Seattle recently, but the cookies still turned out perfectly.
