This recipe is fabulous, and one of my husband's favorites! I like to make them bite size...they make more cookies, and people feel better about taking one at work because they're smaller :o).

These are ok, but more like a PB sugar cookie. They didn't go over well in my house so I probably wont make these again.

I have been using this recipe for years. We use natural peanut butter. My husband who does not like peanut butter cookies can't keep his hands off of these. A big hit with the entire family. Thanks for another great one Mrs. Sigg!

This was my first attempt at peanut butter cookies and boy was I glad I read the reviews for this recipe before I tried it. I used 2 sticks of butter, 1 1/4 cups of peanut butter and an extra cup of flour (way too watery without it). They had great flavor and didn't get hard before the bake sale at my husband's office! Yum!!

I doubled the recipe but used 4 1/2 cups of flour and 3 cups of peanut butter. I've gotten rave reviews from my husband and co-workers. This recipe is a keeper!

These were good but not outstanding. There's a cookie place where I live that is just amazing. Maybe if I'd never had their cookies, these would be a five. Not enough peanut butter for my tastes. For that many calories, I didn't feel they were worth it. Mine also didn't stay as soft for as long as I like. I even put them in the freezer for about ten minutes before baking. But a decent recipe and one I've gotten requests for. I will still look for that perfect peanut butter recipe though.

Mrs Sigg's has another 5 star cookie in this recipe. But ofcourse I took it too another level- First I used 2 sticks butter(no shortening-didn't have) and added 1 1/4 cup peanut butter(per other reviews) and instead of 2 1/2 cups flour-I did two cups flour and 1 cup oatmeal(blended into powder)....Now that is one heck of a peanut butter cookie!! Thanks for the share!

To my surprise I ended up liking a different recipe that only requires three ingredients better. I increased the pb, but I felt there wasn't enough of a peanut butter taste. They were still good to eat though.

Well , I really did not think this recipe sounded that exciting, but my kids wanted Peanut Butter cookies so we tried it and we loved them!!! I altered the recipe, as others suggested, and used 1 cup of butter and no shortening, I added an additional 1/2 cup of peanut butter and 1/2 cup of flour. They don't flatten too much when cooking so you can put a lot on one cookie sheet. I baked for 9 minutes and they don't really look done, but they are. They turned out PERFECT! These were delicious! Great with a glass of milk. I made half plain and added chocolate chips on top of the other half. I posted a picture if interested. Thank you for this recipe...it's a keeper! If you liked these, try the Peanut Butter Cup Cookies recipe.

These are very good. I made one change because of allergies. I changed the shortening and the butter with coconut oil. I added a couple drops butter flavoring. I know this sounds like a wierd switch, but this cookie can be made dairy free with great results. I have a child that can't have dairy or soy, so no butter or shortening. I was really happy with the end result of this recipe.
