I did an unofficial taste test between these cookies and Joey's Peanut Butter Cookies on this site. I followed both recipes exactly and this recipe won by far. It is now my go-to recipe. They were moist, soft, and big. Really good!

Just made these cookies and they are delicious. I also used 1 cup butter and no shortening, and 1 1/2 cups of PB. Didn't flatten out like others and stayed soft with a slightly crisp outside. Very good. Thanks Sigg.

Loved these. Made them as directed, but used crunchy peanut butter because it's what I had. I also dipped my fork in sugar to flatten them. May try some mini-chocolate chips in them next time.

This peanut butter cookie is OK. It was tasty and baked nicely but for my taste I prefer a cookie with a lot more rich peanut butter flavor. There was not enough peanut butter in this cookie for my liking.

These were actually just average peanut butter cookies. If you already have a peanut butter cookie recipe, stick with what you have, as these were nothing special and were really kind of plain.

I'm sorry, I normally would never give a one star or a negative review, but like some of the other people on here, I was very disappointed with the way these turned out. I'm always trying to find the perfect recipe and with all the 5 star reviews I thought this would be it. They were really gooey and liquidy so trying to do the criss cross was almost impossible and they just stayed way to airy. I followed the ingredients with a few of the modifications like all butter, an extra 1/2 cup of flour and peanut butter, but still came out very "bland". I used to cook the best cookies and told my husband so..he has yet to see that this is true. I guess I really know how to pick em'. Again, sorry for the negative review, but I was just very disappointed.

I wanted to figure out which of two recipes was better (this one and Joey's Peanut Butter Cookie- both highly rated on this site) so I made them both and took them to school. While the other one was good most people seemed to prefer this one (same amount of peanut butter but more sugar). I'll keep both however as each makes a decent cookie. Thanks for the recipe.

These cookies were phenomenal! I actually created an account simply to write this review, that is how amazed I was. One piece of advice, for optimal chewyness, keep cookies in for less time, they come out perfectly.

I did everything the recipe called for and added a 1/2 cup of extra peanut butter and flour as recommended. I didn't think they tasted that great, they were bland. Maybe I'll try adding even more peanut butter if I decide to make these again. I'm giving these cookies 3 stars. They weren't bad, but they weren't great either.

My husband loves peanut butter cookies. He's begged me all week to make them. I'm so glad I made these! They are wonderful!! The best I've ever made. The right balance between chewy and crispy. I had to make one minor change, but I don't think it would affect anything either way. I only had 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter, so added 1/4 crunchy to make the difference. The extra little chunks of peanut are wonderful. So the recipe, as stands, is a keeper!! Thanks

I find these to be very good peanut butter cookies. I thought they were a little bland the first time I made them, so this time I used chunky peanut butter and they are much better. I also added another 1/2 cup of flour. They stayed a little thicker and chewier with the extra flour. I like to roll the balls of cookie dough in sugar before I use a fork to make the criss-cross pattern on the top. Overall, a real keeper!
