These were ok, but the stuffing part needed something else. Not sure if it would an herb or maybe crabmeat as others have suggested. Or maybe smaller mushrooms work best - I used larger ones.

I LOVE this recipe. Everyone that I have made them for absolutely loves them as well. I have since had recipe cards made up so that I can distribute them when I am asked. It is a frequent request once I have made them for guests. That speaks for itself!!

I always get rave reviews when I make these mushrooms. The cayenne was a bit much, so I reduced to only 1/8 of a teaspoon. Sometimes I get a lot of water left behind in my casserole dish, but it is easily reduced by turning the mushrooms over onto a paper towel after washing and picking stems off.

It doesn't get much better than these. My kids loved them, my boyfriend who is not a huge mushroom fan loved them and so did I! I used light cream cheese. I didn't have quite enough parmesean so I added some shredded mozerella to make up for it. I also used all my cayenne on the red beans so I used chinese "rooster sauce" instead. I was surprised that it said to chop the mushroom stems but did it. I used my hand held food chopper and it worked great to mince them up finely and boy did they look and smell great when cooked with the oil and garlic! That alone would be great on pizza! Excellent recipe, will make these many times again.

These were a big hit at my wine party this weekend and I highly recommend them because they are tasty, not that difficult, and they are even at room temperature. We made a few modifications: instead of sauteeing the garlic with the diced stems - because garlic will burn way too easily and get bitter - we threw the garlic in for the last 30 seconds. I didn't have onion powder on hand, so I used minced onions. Also, I know the tag line to this recipe says "no breadcrumbs in this recipe" but we rolled the tops, once stuffed, in panko (japanese style) bread crumbs so that they stuck to the cream cheese and man were they good. Yum!

I made this in escargot dishes and added a little melted butter to each cup. They came out so good! I used small mushrooms so they would fit in the dishes and figured I would end up with way too much stuffing, so I halved all the stuffing ingredients except for the mushroom stems - and still had far more than I could possibly need. Very nice flavor though, and they looked beautiful.

These are outstanding! I can't wait for an occasion to be able to make them again! Mine were ready about 4 min early, probably just a difference in oven temps. Katy

These were awesome--really good for someone who is not huge on spiciness, like me. The cayenne definitely gives it a little something special. I used two cloves of garlic, which was probably a little more than called for, but I love garlic. I'll probably experiment with bacon or crab meat another time. Wonderful as-is, though.

I substitute two small packages of baby bella mushrooms. Also, they come out less watery if you make them the night before and refrigerate.

By far the best stuffed mushrooms I have ever had. I loved the kick from the cayenne pepper! It was hard to stop eating them!

My 18 yr old son found this recipe to do for his girlfriend's graduation party. His experience in the kitchen, so far, has been limited to the microwave. I was skeptical, but hopeful, and hung around the kitchen to see if he needed any help. He tripled the recipe, followed everything listed but went a bit lighter on the garlic and cayenne pepper. These turned out fantastic and a huge hit!! We got to the party shortly after it started, and by the time we got through the food line the mushrooms were almost gone! This recipe has now been added to my collection. Thank you!

I tried this appetizer on a whim one day, and my husband absolutely loved and requests it quite often. It's a great recipe to entertain with as well. It's so simple and looks like it takes so much more time and effort. I love it!

Used this for a potluck, it was fantasic and the recipe has been requested more than once! I used 20 medium sized mushrooms and still had a bit of stuffing left over. I also used a bit more parmesan and 2 chopped green onions for some color and added taste. Excellent!
