frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed
shredded Mexican blend cheese
sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
chopped fresh cilantro
bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
Baked in individual pie pans instead of a larger single pie pan. The presentation was lovely, and this would be perfect for serving brunch to friends or family. Although very tasty, my husband and I agreed that it had too much sausage for us. In the future, I'll probably use about 8 oz of the breakfast sausage links rather than a full package. I did use fresh (not frozen) hash brown potatoes which works great for the crust. Very flavorful quiche with good eye appeal.
This is an easy recipe that covers all the things I like. The only thing I will do different when I make it again is cook the hash brown crust a little longer to crisp it up.
Very enjoyable, we really liked this! I served it as a breakfast for dinner last night and the leftovers were great this morning too!
My daughter and I enjoyed eating this quiche. The quiche has sausages in every bite along with plenty of cheese and a hint of cilantro. I liked the hash brown crust instead of using a dough crust. Make sure you thaw out the hash browns and then blot the hash browns with a paper towel.
Delicious and easy. I made a couple of changes due to my family's taste. I added 1/2 onion and a sprinkle of garlic powder to the crust and used red bell pepper instead of sun dried tomatoes and spinach instead of cilantro. You could really use any veggies and herbs you prefer. The whole family enjoyed this breakfast for dinner!
I love this recipe because it is SOOO versatile! I used tater tots for the crust. Also, fresh tomatoes, Kalamata olives and a touch of finely chopped onion. It was superb! I really think you could add any combo of ingredients, to accommodate anyone!! Great recipe!!!
We use the Johnsonville Sweet Italian Sausage with all-natural ingredients. Subbed the frozen hash browns for peeled, grated sweet potatoes and made this dish in a cast iron skillet - YUM! The skillet preparation adds a caramelized crust that is amazing. Will definitely make again.
My family LOVED this, I often use johnsonville to make egg cups and this was a great alternative, the kids loved the change up and asked that I add this to the rotation! I will make this again and again!
