Original Recipe Yield 2 dozen large cookies
 

Ingredients

  • 1 (18.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 2/3 cup margarine, melted
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a large bowl, stir together the cake mix, oats and baking powder. Make a well in the center and add the eggs and margarine; mix until well blended. Stir in the chocolate chips and walnuts. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
  3. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
