Very tasty...huge hit! My only suggestion is that when you put the chocolate chips on top of the 1st layer, spread them around before you put it back into the oven. My chips were hard to spread after being in the oven for 8 minutes. I would have spread them and let them melt first and then bake the additional 8 minutes.

I thought it was just ok. The bottom part was not peanuty enough and the choc chips didn't spread well. The icing was tasty. Overall, I won't be bothering with it again. I will continue my search for the perfect peanut butter bar.

I made these bars to take to a family gathering because I wanted something that would travel well. These bars more than met that requirement. The recipe puzzled me a little. It didn't seem like enough mixture to fit in an 13 x 9 inch baking pan but it did. I added a couple tablespoons of water, and once it baked, it looked fine. I would recommend spreading the chocolate chips out a little more evenly for the next step. I didn't. Mine were a little clumped but it didn't make any real difference. I only had crunchy peanut butter but it worked out fine. The topping was not spread evenly on the top but it added to the look. I put them in the refrigerator for a couple of hours then cut the bars to put in a tin for the trip, layering the bars with wax paper. My family loved them.

Pretty good, but nothing too exciting. The frosting was delicious though, I will maybe use that on another dessert of mine sometime.

Just alright, I thought they were too dry and didn't taste much of the peanut butter. Expected them to be more moist with the peanut butter, but I think the oats dry them out.

YUM - I followed the recipe exactly and these came out perfect. My whole family loved them and they are so easy to make. Flavorful and rich, so a small bar goes a long way. These are a definate favorite and will be made time and time again.

Yummy just like the ones we used to eat at school. The only change I made is that I put the peanut butter icing on first before the chocolate chips. I didn't bake it for any additional time and then I melted the chips in a microwave bowl and spread on top.

I probably won't make these again because the cookie part came out very hard - not chewy at all. When cutting the cookies tend to break apart. The good part about this recipe is the peanut butter icing - yum! I'll have to try that on other dessert ideas.

Very good - nice and buttery. I did cut the chocolate chips in half as suggested by other reviewers; all I had on hand was mini chips. Instead of melting into a spreadable mixture, they cooked into hard little crumbles. I think maybe the oven should have been turned off for the final 8 minutes. I added enough milk to the peanut butter frosting so I could pour it over the cookie layer and tilt the dish until the frosting covered the entire surface.

These are delicious! However, I reduced the quantity of chocolate chips to 1 cup. Also, I reduced the confec. sugar in the icing to 1/2 a cup.

Very, Very YUMMY! Only changes I made was using less chocolate chips and added some into the batter and the rest melted on top. YUM! We all loved them. The peanut butter frosting is a bit on the sweet side, but very good nonetheless.

Needed to add more milk to mix the icing than what the recipie called for. I really thought 4 cups of powdered sugar was a bit much. The icing would have been better if it wasn't so thick. All & all, the bars were ok.

This recipe was fast and easy to make. We love anything with peanut butter and chocolate. This is a great tasting cookie-bar. I found that it became very dry and crumbly. The chocolate seperated from the cookie part and made it difficult to eat without a fork. Otherwise it's Yummy.

These bars are great. I did half with the frosting and half without. I would definitely keep the topping. I only used 1/2 the amount of chocolate chips and it was perfect. Will definitely make these bars again

I made these for Christmas, wanted to try something different. I doubled the recipe and used a jelly roll pan. It was excellent. My husband told me to never make them again since he couldn't stop eating them, when my son-in-law returned home the only thing he wanted to take home were these bars.

I was very disappointed in this recipe. There was actually too much chocolate, if you can believe that! The strong flavor of the semi-sweet chips totally overpowers the peanut butter. Net time I will use milk chocolate chips and only use half the bag.
