This was absolutely delicious! My husband usually isn't a huge fan of sweet potatoes, and he loved it. It is pretty sweet. I enjoyed the sweetness. However, if you don't like a lot of sweet cut down on the sugar. I also just mashed 4 large sweet potatoes and used that, I didn't measure to see how many cups it was. Give this a try. It's worth it. I know I'll make it again.

I was expecting this to be better, especially after reading the reviews. It was good but I have a friend that makes it better. I didnt like the nut stuff on the top either. Im going to ask my friend for her resipe.

I tried this to see if I would want to make it for Thanksgiving dinner. I added some Allspice, Cinnamon, and Nutmeg to make the flavors more like Pumpkin Pie, since we're all on diets and won't be having pies this year. I substituted Splenda for the sugar, used Light Organic Brown Sugar, the new 50% Lowfat Butter, and No Fat Milk. It came out wonderful ... It is very creamy, velvety. I felt like I was cheating!!! I will definitely make this for Thanksgiving. Thanks for sharing.

I made this years ago when I was living with some friends (during my Hurricane Katrina evac). My friends are not big fans of sweet potatoes, but everyone loved this! I still make it every year during the holidays and always receive compliments.

This was a different recipe from what we typically do, but it was a nice change. I also used oatmeal instead of the peacans in my recipe since we don't use any type of nut in our house. My topping didn't turn out quite right. I'll keep this recipe and use it again, I'll just keep playing with it.

Excellent recipe. Very tasty and sweet. I took the suggestion of another cook to replace oats for the pecans, as I didn't have any pecans in the house. And, I reduced the amount of sugar to 1/2 cup in the mixture. Otherwise, everything else was the same. Everyone loved it.

This was good, and I dont even really like sweet potatoes! I think next time I'll make the top layer a base layer as well (or maybe turn it into a pie!). I omitted the sugar in the actual yams as other suggested but maybe mine werent sweet enough because the top was to die for but the middle was just mushy bland stuff -_-, my fault on that though ^^

I'm a big fan of sweet potatoes but my husband is not...he loves this recipe too. I think it makes the sweet potatoes into a dessert. Have to be careful not to eat all the leftovers myself.

We thought this was perfect. Just the right taste. I put it in an oblong glass cake pan instead of the casserole dish and baked it just a bit less. Very good.

I am not a big fan of sweet potatoes but I made this recipie for Thanksgiving and it was a HIGE hit with people. My aunt loved it so much she kep the leftovers and ate them the next day for breakfast. I will make this every year.
