This is my toddler's new favorite dish! It is delicious made with whole wheat pasta (I increased the amount of pasta to 2 cups as well). Also, I sauteed some minced garlic in the butter & used parmesan breadcrumbs, doubling the topping.

Recipe was awesome I doubled the amount of cheese though and tripled the amount of bread crumbs since I love the bread crumb topping! First mac and cheese recipe I tried that tasted awesome!

It was exactly what I was looking for!! My family really likes cheese and by the other reviews I knew that I had to add more cheese (we used 6oz)! It was awsome!

This recipe was easy enough and my girls (ages 8 & 22 months) loved it! I gave it 4 stars because I would probably enjoy a little more sophisticated flavor, but at the same time I have tried other mac & cheese recipes that I liked and my girls won't eat. This one is a keeper because my girls enjoyed it and will eat it so I can see myself making it several more times.

The basics for this recipe are good but there was hardly any cheese flavor. Next time I would use sharp cheddar and then just mix some more sharp cheddar in the mix right before baking. It was edible but definately not cheese tasting.

Soooo good! Like other reviews I used 2 cups milk, 4 oz. Velveeta, and 2 cups cheddard. Come out perfect and mac was not too dry when I warmed it again the next day for lunch.

I have made this twice for my family, they like it with extra cheddar melted on the top and this last time, I actually added 1/4c crushed potato chips on top instead of the buttery breadcrumbs and broiled the top just before serving...they loved it. I also dont use elbows, I use a spiraly pasta, which holds up much nicer......OOPS, forgot to add.....I do NOT use velveeta, not a fan of it...I shredded a whole block of cracker barrel which is what we prefer.

The taste was wonderful...the texture though threw me off a bit. It seemed a bit sandy and grainy...I like my mac creamy. The only thing I did was add a little more cheese and milk...nothing drastic...so I dont understand the texture problem. Anyway..may try again with even more milk...maybe that will help the creaminess.

I tried this yesterday and it was great. I used 3 cups of sharp cheddar and 1 cup of parmesean, because I don't like velveeta. It was my first time making "real" mac and cheese and it won't be my last.

Not many recipes inspire me to vote on them, but this one did! I did increase the velveeta to 4 ounces. The milk to 2 cups and cheddar to 2 cups. Perfect consistancy and flavor. Thank you for the recipe!

This was a total crowd pleaser! I added a pound of cubed, cooked chicken and upped the servings to 8. Also, I didn't have a casserole dish so I used my 19X13X2" baking dish. I also added more topping since there was more top area to cover. I highly recommend it! This is something I will definitely make again.

This is a very quick and cheesy mac & cheese! I followed one reviewer's advice and used 2C cheddar and 1C parmesan reggiano (though they recommended Asiago). It was DELICIOUS but too much sauce. Next time I'll make it the same way but double the macaroni. I also used whole wheat flour because that's what I keep in the house and it tasted great. This is now our default recipe for "not in a box" mac & cheese.

It was really good. I did add extra cheese - almost double. I used 4 oz of Velveeta and 1 1/2 cups of cheddar - I will use even more cheddar next time and probably make 2 times the bread crumbs.

Really yummy! The only thing I changed was I doubled the amount of Velveeta and added Garlic powder and onion powder in the cheese mixture. Tonight was the second time I cooked this and when my husband sat down to eat he said that the macaroni and cheese was his favorite thing on the plate...and we even had green beans, which are his all time favorite!!!!!!

I didn't have butter and I used cornstarch instead of flour and it turned out great anyway. Put a little mustard to add flavor. I didn't put the bread crumb topping.

this recipe was a huge hit at thanksgiving. Everyone loved it. I added extra cheese as others had suggested. I prepared it the night before and baked it on Thanksgiving day. I added a little extra milk before baking so it would not be dry. It was perfect. Thanks for the recipe
