I added 3/4 cup chopped walnuts to my cookies. I've been making my cookies with pudding mix now, and was looking for a simple choc chip recipe. I will never make cookies without pudding mix in them again, it makes them so moist and soft, just the way I like!

This is the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe. I made it with sugar free vanilla pudding, and I added some almond extract to give it an amaretto twist. Everyone liked them, but I think I'll try it with just vanilla extract and use the cheesecake pudding mix next time as someone else suggested. Great texture, wonderful taste.

These cookies were amazing! I discovered I was out of vanilla extract and only had 1/2 the needed butter but they still turned out moist. The cook time was tricky, I think I may have kept them in too long because after they cooled they became more crunchy than I like, but a glass of cold milk easily solves that. I will continue experimenting with wonderful this recipe...thanks! :-D

These were very good. I did cut down on the butter a bit, and added a 12oz bag of semi sweet chips and about half a bag of bittersweet chips together. I also never cook chocolate chip cookies at anything over 350 degrees. I find I get a much better cookie if I cook them for 15 minutes at 350. They were moist and chewy on the inside, without being doughy.

These were wonderful! My fiancee is the biggest chocolate chip cookie critic and he said "now I can marry you" when he ate them. He wants more! I followed the recipe to the T. I only had to bake mine for 10 minutes. Thank you.

I should have flattened them out more before baking. Thought a press of the palm would be enough but you guys aint kiddin when you say they don't flatten/spread during baking! Even substituting splenda for the white sugar, using one stick of margarine, and using medium eggs, I had zero problems with density and volume. So its a good cookie for useing substitutes. I also made a glaze and put on top, and added mini choco chips with pb chips and vanilla sugar free pudding mix. I just think next time I'd bake them longer (although the bottoms were getting pretty brown) or flatten them more.

Love this recipe. I've been using it since my kids were little and I discovered it in Parents Magazine. My kids are all grown up and I am still making these choc. chip cookies! Just recently I have made one alteration: I use 1 1/2 sticks of butter, not 2. Still turns out great. I bake them at 375 for 10-12 min. Crunchy yet soft!

The first day I made these I didn't like the cookie much. But the second day they were so much better!! These are cookies you can bake the day before and take them to a function the next day and people will rave. They stay nice and soft and gooey.

This recipe is awesome! I did make the cookies larger than teaspoonfuls, they were closer to tablespoons and added eight more minutes.

Excellent cookies. I am newly single and was looking for things that are easy and don't tax my "skills" too much. They are easy to make and are exactly what I was lookng for, a chewy cookie with a bit of a crunch. I'll make them again and maybe add some raisins next time......
