When I tried one of these cookies right after taking the first batch out of the oven, I was disappointed, I thought the pudding taste overwhelmed the cookie. After they cooled off though, the cookies tasted amazing! My new fav recipe, looove them!!

These turned out great. Had a nice cake-like consistency. Will definitely make again, however, I might use a little less sugar next time.

This is a good cookie. I followed the suggestions of previous posters and added a pinch of salt and used saltd butter. I also added 3 tsp of milk and a bit more vanilla. And more chocolate chips. I used ghiradelli chips. I did use sugar free white chocolate pudding mis as this was all that I had and I wonder if that is why there was a little after taste. In any case the cookies are good and a bit poofy, which is what I wanted. I'll be making them again.

Pam you go girl! What a nice change from the normal. I have to say mine did nt turn out flat they were just more round which the kids thought were cool. Great recipe for after school snacks on these snow filled days. Thanks Pam!

Excellent. I was really concerned when the batter came out very thick but the cookies were awesome. We'll be using this again.

These cookies are delicious! I make them all the time and have even made batches to give as gifts. They always turn out perfectly and stay soft thanks to the pudding. I often make it with chocolate pudding instead of vanilla, which is a great variation.

The BEST. The pudding mix is the key I think to these delicious cookies.

I am in the middle of making these and had to submit my review before I forgot. These are wonderful! Last week my son and I made the "award winning choc. chip cookies" from this site and we loved them and everyone who ate one said the same but today I decided to try another recipe to start experimenting. I changed just a few small things, I added a splash more vanilla, a splash of milk as per other reviews, a tad bit of salt and also used Ghiradelli milk chocolate chips for something different. Half of the batter I put in 3/4 cup oatmeal because I love it so I will add to this if it's not as wonderful as the first ones but I don't see how it can't be. I think I actually like these better than the "other" popular cookies I mentioned earlier. However, on the back of the Ghiradelli package, the directions are almost identical to these except the amounts of sugar and vanilla are different. No matter, they are suberp! Better get back to the oven!

These cookies were wonderful! The pudding made them so nice and moist. I thought the texture was wonderful. I made them with vanilla pudding and chocolate chips--just like the recipe called for. Next time I might try chocolate pudding with mint or white chocolate chips. Awesome!

This were wonderful! Our neighbors gave us cookies like this for Christmas and I almost died everytime I ate one :) I'm so happy to have found a recipe this good. My cookies turned out more poofy than in the picture, but they were still very soft and stayed that way for days.

We buy instant pudding for our 3yr old all the time but she always wants us to make the chocolate pudding and so we are left with all this instant vanilla. With this cookie recipe we were able to use up all our instant vanilla pudding. The cookies not only taste GREAT! But very Soft.Great recipe!

Oh, these are heavenly!!! I didn't change the recipe at all...They baked differently, however, depending on what bakeware I used it seems, (some were light and fluffy with the stoneware, and some were flat with a regular cookie sheet), and I also had some problems with the baking time (probably a mix b/n my oven temp and the bakeware I used), BTW, I can COOK up a STORM, but I'm by not means A "BAKER" :( Besides all THAT, overall, I think this is one of the BEST Chocolate Chip recipes ever! Thanks a bunch! Our family loved them :)

Okay, neither my husband nor I liked these cookies at all. THey were way to sweet and cakey like. Oh and they didn't turn out anything like the picture either--much thicker.
