It is very important that you do not overcook these! One sheet I had perfect at 10mins. The rest somehow were in 11-12mins and were too browned and were much harder/crunchier. Unless you enjoy dunking your cookies in coffee or milk, then longer cooking is for you. I'm going to have to make these again and try 9-10mins and see how they turn out. My Mom loved them, and they did have that cakey taste, but it was yummy.

These cookies are GRRRrrrrreat!!! I cut the butter to 1/2 c and added 1/4 tsp salt like others had suggested. I can't wait to see what my coworkers think about them when I take them to our Pot luck tomorrow.

I used 1 1/2 sticks of butter instead of 2 sticks, and I used 3 oz of vanilla pudding mix, hoping for less of an aftertaste that i read about. The cookies didn't spread and looked nothing like the picture!

Very good recipe! I did some adjusting and added the 2 tbs of milk, 1/4 tsp salt, 1 tbs of vanilla instead of tsp, and a little less than a box of pudding like another poster had said. After 11 min. they come out chewy, cake-like, and have a wonderful flavor. Can't wait to try different flavor combos!

Baked these cookies for a fellow teacher's birthday @ school and they disappeared quickly! Have made them in the past for my family and they loved them, also. If you're not a real fan of "flat" chocolate chip cookies, these are the cookies for you! Taking them to a party tonight along with extra copies of the recipe!

These cookies were just ok, I really was going to give it two stars but I like muffins so I gave it three. That is pretty much what they are chocolate chip cookie muffins.

These cookies stayed moist for a ridiculous amount of time. Almost a week they were perfect without any signs of drying out. Would be great for a bake sale. Going to try with chocolate pudding tonight...

These were good cookies! Mine came out nice and soft while retaining a good chew around the edges. While they were a bit sweet, I used darker chocolate that I cut into bigger chunks and that offset the sweetness well. I will use this recipe again.

I made these while the kids were at school and between me and the kids, they were almost gone before dinner! They were delicious and they dont spread and they're not too sweet! But 2 C of choc. chips is too much. 1 C is perfect! And When you're putting them on the tray dont make them to thick! They burn and dont cook inside.

Doesn't spread which is great, but is WAY too sweet. I would try 1/2 pkg of vanilla pudding mix, and only 1 C of choc chips, or maybe 1/4 of the brown sugar and only 1 C of choc chips. There were lots of leftover choc chips, that got wasted. I was excited to try this recipe, but was amazed how sweet it tasted. Other than that, its a really nice recipe!

I have also had this recipe for several years, I received it from my sister who got it from her mother in law. I do not give it out either. I like to have the "secret" recipe for these awsome cookies.

Very good, I used the cheesecake pudding as suggested and they turned out well. I had a bit of trouble getting the bottoms not to burn, but that's my own inexperience I'm sure. Only part I didn't love was a touch of an odd after taste.

These were the best chocolate chip cookies ive ever made!!! They stay big and chewy unlike other recipes ive used where the cookies flatten and if you dont eat them the day of, they get too hard! My boyfriend and I decided to make these into ice cream sandwiches and they were perfect! Only problem i had was these cookies only lasted about an hour, my boyfriend and mom chowed them down before i could bag some for later! :-) I will most definitely be using this recipe all the time!
