This dish was so easy and very good! Like other reviewers I used raspberry jam, 5 boneless chicken breasts, and added a little water. I wish I had hydrated the onion soup, butthere's always next time. They were cooked to perfection in 40 minutes. I served it with mashed potatoes and it was a hit!

Thanks Liza. This is a keeper for the quick and easy. I read all the reviews and found them very helpful. Added 1/2 cup of water, soaked the dry onion soup and reduced the cooking time as the reviews suggested. My wife loved it.

Eh...not great, not horrible. Chicken got kind of dried out, but that might not be the fault of the recipe. I doubled the BBQ sauce and the jam, but kept the onion soup mix the same. If I had not it would have been way too salty. I used blackberry jam as that was all I had. It was unremarkable and I probably won't bother with it again. But thanks anyway.

Yummee! Doubled it because I had more chicken. Gave it four out of five stars because the kids said it was too sweet...they must be someone elses kids! The sauce was great on mash patatoes. I will take the skin off next time. It got kind of mushy.

I thought this dish was fantastic. I used blueberry preserves instead of plum and made the sauce 2 hours prior to baking so the onions would be soft. You could remove the skin as suggested but it may dry the meat out. Try covering the dish.

pretty good. It was a bit odd smelling when all the ingredients where mixed together. Kept getting whiffs of the vinegar in the bbq sauce while it was cooking and was getting nervous that it would blow your sox off when done. It was actually much milder tasting than it smelled! Family liked it. Served it over rice. It was a bit salty, but i'm not sure how you would fix that since bbq sauce and onion soup mix are the only salty ingredients! overall, a good, quick easy recipe that i'll make again when i don't have much time for prep.

I made this recipe using slices of boneless, skinless chicken breasts, I shortened cook time because of that and it came out great, good recipe. I am going to try it on the grill next. I will be making it again. Thanks!

Very disappointed with this one. After reading reviews with the majority of them being positive, I thought this would turn out better. It was very easy to prepare, but the taste was not good. Basically, we thought it tasted like very salty bbq sauce. I followed the recipe exactly except for using grape instead of plum jelly. I won't be making this again.

I used Asian style spicy plum sauce and boneless chicken thigh fillets. This is so easy and delicious even the kids can make it.

LOVED THIS RECIPE!! It really needs more stars! It was simple!! My family literally "ate" this one up! I cooked frozen noodles in the chicken broth and homemade mashed potatos, it was awesome! Even my very picky 15 mos. old "snarffed" it up!! It's a keeper in this family. Next time I will try "playing" with different ingredents.

I too used raspberry jam since it was all I had. Definately adjust cooking time for boneless breasts, I didn't and not only were they fairly dry but most of the sauce had cooked away since there was no fat from the chicken. But even so they were still good. I can't wait to make them again to see how they are when cooked correctly. Even my mom who hates barbeque sauce had some and liked it. She said they taste more like teriyaki than barbeque.

very easy and very good. i couldn't find any plum jam so i used grape jam instead and it tasted wonderful. next time i think i would remove the skin from the chicken (except the legs/wings) because the skin on the breast didn't seem to get crispy at all and i ended up pulling it off before eating it. the remainder suace that was in the pan i put in to a gravy boat and it was wonderful poured over the chicken!

I followed the directions but was disappointed. I thought it was very greasy. If I made it again I would try skinless or boneless chicken.

wonderful tangy change for a chicken dish. though I made a few subtle changes. first I used chicken breast cut into large strips, pre cooked them, didnt have plum jam, so used rasberry instead, all other ingredients were the same, but upon reading other reviews, I added 1/2 a cup of water to the sauce mix put all into 9x13 dish sealed with foil then into the oven. after 45 mins then added 1 Tbsp of cornstarch mixed with a little water into the sauce. Family went crazy over this one, including fussy daughter, DH got pouty cause daughters BF cleaned up the leftovers. Thanks Liza this ones a keeper.
