A great change to the usual grilled burgers. These burgers are stuffed with ham, cheese, mushrooms, and onions then slow grilled. Grill over hickory or mesquite wood if possible for better flavor! A sure family pleaser!

I created this recipe while trying to recreate the best burger I had ever tasted at a restaurant in the Great Smoky Mountains of North Carolina. My family and I think these burgers are better! They are packed with flavor!

Ground beef is mixed with prepared barbecue sauce and formed into patties. Then they 're topped with a slice of pineapple and two strips of bacon secured with toothpicks. This double decker treat is grilled and served with our without a bun.

My favorite burgers are 'Surprise Burgers'. The pineapple inside the burger adds a hint of sweetness, while the sauce adds some tanginess! Warning: the added sauce and pineapple makes for a mess with little ones!

Brandi's Best Burgers

These burgers are definitely crowd pleasers! Perfect for family get-togethers and summer cookouts. They are complimented nicely by baked beans and potato salad. Serve between sesame seed or whole wheat buns and, if desired, plenty of lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles. I also like to use Hickory flavored wood chips when I BBQ to add additional flavor to the meat. If you use wood chips, soak them in water for about an hour, then spread them over the hot coals just before grilling.

If you like blue cheese, you'll love the flavorful surprise inside these moist hamburgers from Dee Dee Mitchell of Longmont, Colorado. 'They're so filling that just a serving of tangy coleslaw on the side makes for a hearty meal.'

This is a great way to spice up an ordinary hamburger. Not only can this be done on the grill, but pan fried if desired. Too good not to try!!
