Mom's Apple Crisp
SUBMITTED BY:
Julie Jahnke
"Mom found this recipe in a bridal book years ago, and it soon became a family favorite. With tender juicy apples and a hint of cinnamon, it is yummy served plain or with a dollop of whipped cream or ice cream."

This was very good and a hit with everyone who ate it - but it was a bit too sweet for me as well as the others. I will greatly reduce the amount of sugar next time I make this, but overall a good and easy recipe.

This was a very easy dish to make and it tastes fantastic. I cut the sugar in half and it was still more than sweet enough.

Flavor was great with this recipe, although I found the whole cup of water used at the end of the recipe left my apples swimming in the bottom of the dish. I think next time I will use less water. I also loooove cooking spices, so I added ginger and nutmeg to the crisp topping, and it was yummy!!!

Very good!! I was looking for a recipe without oats, and I finally found it. I forgot to add the water right away so it cooked in the oven for 20 minutes by the time it got added, and it still tasted great.

This is so delicious!!! I followed other people recommendations and used less sugar. But also i think you should add less water because it comes out so gooy afterward. But other than that it was so good!!!!
