Excellent muffins if you decrease the butter/margarine by half, and only use 3/4 c. sugar. I also only used 2 bananas and they were perfect! My kids LOVE them!

I liked this a lot. i cut down a little on the butter and sugar and trippled the amount of coffee powder. also I added chopped walnuts instead of the chocolate chips which was very tasty and made them less sweet.

Yummy! it is very good, little sweetish, i added only 2 bananas and 1/4 cup of mini chocolate morsels and sprinkled walnuts on the top. I baked them in loaf pan and it took longer time to cook, next time will bake them in muffin pans, will surely try it again, but will reduce the sugar.

Funtastic and me-proof! It was a sleepy after-going-out morning and I managed to make all the possible mistakes with the recipe and still it was very tasty! I used 3 Tbsp coffee dissolved in 2 Tbsp water which for a change wasn't a mistake.

I loved this recipe! I used this recipe to make 54 muffins for a charity bake sale. If you really like mocha you will have to increase the coffee accordingly. The mocha taste is subtle if made according to recipe instructions.

These were ok as far as muffins go,but they were more like banana chocolate chip muffins none of us really thought it tasted like mocha. They are kind of plain.

Just made these muffins. I only had two bananas and they were perfect, but I can imagine that three would make theme even moister and more yummy. Followed recipe tothe letter otherwise. My son came home from work as I was putting the warm mini-muffins on a rack to cool. He started popping them in his mouth and couldn't stop! I had to stop him though as I made these to take to work tomorrow. I made six large muffins to keep at home, then made three trays of mini's to take to work. The mini's took about 11-12 minutes to cook. I have those singles packets of Tasters Choice instant coffee and it was the perfect amount. EXCELLENT muffins!

Great muffins, although a little bit too chocolatey. (I used a good quality dark chocolate, chopped) Next time I will omit the chocolate and increase the coffee, for more coffee flavour. I think coffee/banana will be fine.

These muffins are delicious! I make them again and again, and always get compliments. I have tweaked the recipe to make it much lower fat. You definitely don't need all the oil!

I only had 2 over-ripe bananas and they turned out so good! I think I'll always only use 2 because I'm not a huge fan of banana flavored anything. 2 was just right. I used an electric hand mixer for 2 minutes and then stirred the dry ingredients and chocolate chips in by hand. I also filled the cups right up to the top of the paper edge and made 12 nicely rised muffins. Like others have mentioned with cutting the butter and sugar down.... I used 3/4 c butter and 1 c sugar and added extra flour due to my altitude. They are delish! I'm going to double the coffee granules next time just for kix. Thanks!

The last time I made them, they disappeared. Instantly. Now I pray for my bananas to go soft so I can make a double or triple batch and save some aside to toss in the freezer for a quick breakfast when I'm running late.

AWESOME!! I just made my first (double) batch of these and they are FANTASTIC! I used some of the previous suggestions and used 1/2 cup butter and 1 cup sugar. I also made 12 large muffins instead of more smaller ones. I also use whole wheat flour as I feel it adds more depth, flavor and nutrition to a recipe. Thank you so much for sharing this, I will be making it again!!

These are so delicious! I took a few of the readers' advice and halfed the margarine and cut the sugar to one cup. They were very moist and plenty sweet. I didn't have any instant coffee granules on hand, so I used 1 tbsp brewed, cold decaf. I could have used more to add more coffee flavor. My kids loved them, too. Thanks for the great recipe Shelley!
