Simple recipe and Excellent taste. Everybody loves these brownies. I would have made brownies homemade long ago if I realized how simple it could be.

I was very impressed with this recipe. I followed the submitter's suggestion of substituting melted butter for the vegetable oil. I also added about 1/4 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips. My only suggestion for improvement would be to increase the cocoa content from 1/3 to 1/2 cup to make them darker and more chocolatey. I did this for my second batch and liked them even more.

LOVE IT! I doubled it, and added chocolate chips and marshamallows to make it "rocky road" style, and it was divinely rich and fantastic. I also used only 1/4 cup of butter and 3/4 cup of applesauce, and cut the sugar to one cup instead of 2. Thank you for this great recipe!

I had been making another brownie recipe on AR for over 6 months but wasn't completely happy with it even with minor tweaks. This recipe first go around is excellent. I followed the recipe with the exclusion of vanilla just because I had run out of it. I also cooked for 23 minutes at high altitude and they didn't fall either!

I prepared this recipe in under 10 minutes. I doubled the ingredients and baked in a 9X13 pan. I added choc chips and pecans to the batter. Absolutely delicious! Thank you for sharing. I'll never use box mix again.

Great and easy brownie recipe. I followed the recipe, but used just a bit (3/4-7/8 cup) of sugar instead of one full cup. I also added andies candies (mint chocolate) to the batter. It was a hit.

YUUUMMY!!! Do not listen to others who claim these are dry. A dry brownie means it was over cooked. Not all ovens are the same and an oven thermometer is a great investment to make sure you are always at the right temp. This recipe produced a very moist and chewy brownie for me and even the edges were moist but perfectly baked. I only added a squirt of Hershey's chocolate syrup and 1/3 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips to the mix before baking. The only reason I give this recipe 4 stars instead of 5 is because it did leave a slight after taste. I'm not sure if it was because of the oil. Will definitely try again with melted unsalted butter. DELISH!

Perfect! I made 40 servings and put it in a 9x13 and they were very cake like and moist. I baked for 35 min. or so. Used the Fluffy Peanut Butter Frosting recipe from all recipes on top- yum!

I am pretty good at baking. This was a terrible recipe. I did just as the recipe said the only think i changed was using melted butter instead of oil. The whole thing never even solidified in the oven even after thirty minutes. The butter was "frying" allover it the whole time.

I made this recipe as is (with oil, not butter) because the butter substitution makes this recipe THE EXACT SAME as "Best Brownies" (also on here Needless to say, the oil did NOT make for a "better" brownie. I'll stick with BEST BROWNIES, from now on.

These are the best brownies. My family loves them. I always make them with butter instead of oil. This recipe is as easy as a box mix and tastes so much better. I make them all the time.

Deliciousness! Instead of the optional walnuts, I used 1/4 cup each of raw cashews, shredded unsweetened coconut flakes, and vegan chocolate chips. I used an 8X8 pan and baked for 25 minutes. This is an easy recipe.

These were good and better the next day. I added a handful of bittersweet chocolate chips to the mixture and a handful of caramel chips. I also used melted butter instead of oil and added extra vanilla. They did turn out a bit thin in the 9x9 pan so if you like your brownies thicker, use a 8x8. I'll probably make again and either double the recipe for thicker brownies or use the smaller dish as we prefer them a bit thicker and add nuts next time as I had to leave them out of this batch because my husband's son can't eat them.
