The hardest part is doing the walnuts in the sugar, and that's easy, actually. Take your time with it, don't burn it. It only takes 5 mins or so.
USE WHITE SUGAR. I used brown...it doesn't melt good enough...I had to throw in some white and then it melted better.
I've made this recipe twice. The first time I used blue cheese because that's what I had on hand. Tasted good.
Both times it was all eaten and commented upon...how delicious it was. The second time, a man wanted the recipe to take home to his wife.
This is a tasty and great recipe. Thx. Even my husband eats it, and he is a man who doesn't like vegetables in his salad! LOL! I still laugh at that when he said that! No vegetables in his salad! LOL!
This salad is a weiner (that's how I say winner). A company salad....people love it....and you know how hard it is to get people to eat their greens...at least most of the folks I know.
