The recipe looked good on paper, and certainly the finished product looked good too. Unfortunately, while I was really looking forward to these and had a blast making them, I ended up being disappointed. Even though I used onion and chive cream cheese and added extra garlic and soy sauce they were sorely lacking in flavor. Great ingredients that just didn't deliver in the end. Hubs thought they'd really benefit by some sort of dipping sauce, a ginger sauce for example, but I believe they should have stood on their own. Also, while I concede there may be a health benefit to baking these rather than deep frying, the baking method wasn't nearly as good. Given how rarely I eat fried food of any kind, I'd just as soon treat myself to it here - but only if I can figure out a way to bump up the flavor.
