Though I was hesitant to make this dish at first since I'm vegetarian and have never made meatloaf, I am glad I did, because this recipe was amazing! My husband has decided this is his new favorite dish :) Since I'm a vegetarian, I made it with the Morningstar griller crumbles, which worked fine in this recipe. I took some of the suggestions from other members and added some sauteed onion and garlic, which was really good as well :) Also, I made mine in muffin pans as well, which make the perfect sizes! The topping for it was great, we loved how sweet it was, and it was just the right amount for our loaves. Thanks for this great recipe, I will definitely be making this again!

This made for a yummy and quick dinner. We ate these with crash hot potatoes (mmm...comfort food!) I took someone's suggestion and let the oatmeal soak up the wet ing. before mixing everything together. I used ground turkey instead of beef and next time I will use A1 sauce instead of ketchup for the topping, just personal preference. I also baked them in a muffin pan.

These were good. I made them exactly as written except that I cooked them in the crock pot. I'm sure that they are much better when cooked in the oven, but its so hot here I couldnt bear to turn it on. So they turned out ok, but I'm sure not as good as they're supposed to be. So I will make these again but in the oven :)

These are the best! I've made them many times and they always turn out great. I do add 1 tsp of liquid smoke to the sauce. I like the smoky favor it adds to the sauce. I usually double the recipe...freeze some for my grandmother and take some to work for lunch.

very easy to make, delicious, huge hit with the kids. Served with brocoli and mini red potatoes(sliced in half), roasted in the oven with olive oil salt and pepper. Perfect!

I made these in the muffin pan as suggested by others and they came out well. It's really the sauce on top of them that sets this apart from other meatloaf recipes. All in all, it was good.

Very good! Even my pickiest eater ate these. I used breadcrumbs instead of oatmeal and used about half of the cheese (to cut down on fat). I also cut down on the brown sugar as some others suggested. This has been put into rotation.

My kids will not touch regular meatloaf, but they devoured these. I made extras and sent some to the neighbors since her husband was out of town. She called 10 minutes later for the recipe.

There are things that I liked and things that I didn't about this one. The sauce on top tasted great. I think that I will at least start using that on all my meatloaf recipes. The taste of the meatloaf was okay...kinda blah. (I tried to even add extra garlic...) I normally like to reheat my meatloaf for lunch the next day, but this one was NOT good reheated. The blandness just got worse and the topping lost its flavor. But it is a decent recipe overall. I will maybe try it one more time, with extra spices. (By the way...this recipe made two small loaves which fed my family of 7...ages 2 on up)

I made this as one, big meatloaf. Maybe that was my problem. It turned out very mushy. It wasn't very good. I probably wouldn't even try it again. Also, it made way too much topping. So you could cut that down to about half. It had so many good reviews, but most of them added or changed ingredients to make it good. Making it exactly as written, it just didn't work for me.

I really liked this recipe. Gave it 4 stars because the topping was a little sweet to me so I will cut back on the sugar next time but other than really good and easy. I used a muffin pan and it turned out great.

Best meatloaf I've ever had, Tonya! Thank you. [Alterations: substituted plain breadcrumbs, threw in some dried onion flakes, and splashed Worcestershire in the loaf mix; added a few dashes of Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce to the glaze.]

I substituted oats with 1/2 cup bread crumbs and added some garlic powder, black pepper and some parsley. I kept everything else the same. Very GOOD!!!

Excellent! This is my husband's and my favorite meatloaf recipe. If no cheddar on hand, I just use jack or colby. I did reduce the sauce to about 1/2 only because he's not big on sweet stuff (but I love it!) Also, I use 1/2 turkey and 1/2 beef.
