Mini Green Bean Casserole
SUBMITTED BY:
Mrs. Bert Benson
"This green bean casserole is appealing because it's lighter than those with a cream sauce. The french-fried onions adds a delicious crunch. -Mrs. Bert Benson, Park Rapids, Minnesota"

Do not expect this to be anything like the green bean casserole with cream sauce or made with soup. This is tasty but very different. Nice light side dish that is easy to prepare and a nice change.

great recipe - use an entire 12 oz bag of green beans for this recipe. Might even double the whole recipe for a larger crowd.

This is a great quick recipe. Yes, it lacks the heavy cream of traditional green bean casseroles but I will definitely make this again. I omitted the mushrooms, cornstarch and the crispy onions for dietary concerns. Added tahini sauce for body, sesame oil for flavor and topped with sesame seeds for presentation. Excellent, healthy dish for green bean lovers!
