A classic appetizer and very tasty. I use thawed frozen bread dough instead of crescent rolls, it makes for a fluffy delicious pig-in-a-blanket.

Easy to make and very good. Exactly what it claims to be. I only took out a couple of triangles of dough at a time to work with, putting the remaining in the freezer. The colder the dough, the easier it is to work with. I used a pizza cutter to slice the dough, as other reviewers suggested. I did turn the oven temp down from 375 to 350, since some people had a problem with the crescent rolls getting too brown. I lined the baking sheet with parchment paper and baked for 8 minutes, then rotated the cookie sheet and baked for 8 more minutes. Came out perfect. Served with honey mustard sauce on this website, as other reviewers recommended.

These were a huge hit, especially with kids, and easy to make a bunch once you have a system down of cutting your pastry into the sizes you want. I did cut up cheese slices into small pieces and put them inside. They were the first thing to disappear New Years Eve.

I made these for a Christmas Eve family get-together, and they were very popular! I used 3 cans of the Crescent Rolls and 2 packages of the little smokie sausages, and that made about 75 little appetizers. The kids LOVED them, and the adults scarfed them down too. I put out several kinds of mustards to go with them, but nobody seemed to want to use the mustard. They just popped them plain. They were simple and fun to make. I froze them after making them, let them thaw a couple of hours before the party, then warmed them in the oven at 350 for about 10 minutes. Then I put them in a large flat corning ware dish on low on the stove. I put several layers of foil in the bottom of the dish. I really don't know if this worked or not, as they disappeared so fast. Would make them again for sure.
