These aren't bad, but they aren't easy to make into biscuit dough as written. And they aren't as like corn dogs as I was hoping. So, needs a lot of adjustments in order to make it a little more as I envisioned--although perhaps that was not the recipe's intention. The dough is extremely sticky, and although I added about 1/2 cup of flour, there was no way I could roll it out without adding a lot more flour, which I didn't feel like doing. So I ended up dipping the mini dogs (I used little smokies) instead. It wasn't that easy to dip, though, so they came out a little lopsided. It worked, but I think I'll keep looking for a baked corn dog recipe, especially as there is little corn flavor in the dough. You need to experiment a lot to get them like corn dogs. Thanks for the recipe!

This recipe is not good for a begginner, as they may not feel comfortable making adjustments, but to someone more experianced this is a good recipe.

This tasted okay. I was looking for something healther than a deep fried corndog but with the butter in the dough these have about the same fat an calories as the deep fried version.

I loved the sauce. Corn dogs are the best way to use up hot dogs. I used full sized one and just cut them up.

The dough was way too runny and sticky. I had to add cornmeal, a lot of flour and then extra baking powder to compensate. I finally managed to get the hotdogs wrapped. My kids laughed when they saw them...but they did eat them. The flavor was good. I wouldn't call them corn dogs by far though...more like breaded hotdogs. Sorry, won't be making this again.

I liked this recipe idea, but made some changes to make it suit my tastes. I used a cup of cornmeal and a cup of flour as I wanted a strong cornmeal flavor/texture. I also added about 2 tablespoons of sugar to make it sweeter. Once the dough was made, I had to stir in some extra flour to be able to handle it. I also floured my hands really well between forming each corndog.

These mini corn dogs are very good for parties. I also used other fillings e.g. kalamata olives, cheddar cheese cut into cubes… They were all great! But the recipe needs some adjustments. I cut the milk to 2/3 of a cup (about 150 ml) and used only the egg white to brush the corn dogs. For the sauce I mixed equal parts of prepared mustard, ketchup and mayonnaise.

Did not like this recipe in the least bit, complicated and did not taste very good. The dough is very messy and needs at least another 1/2 cup of flour which I only figured out after it was all over my hands and my counter top. Luckily my sister was there and we salvaged the dough enough to make the corn dogs which took about triple the time to bake as was told and then tasted very bland too much dough to hot dog ratio.

I really enjoyed both making and eating these! I used my favorite regular all-beef hot dogs and cut them in 3rds. Even though I'm a novice with any kind of dough this biscuit dough was easy and turned out tender and delicious, although none of the wraps remained sealed around the dogs during baking. Next time I think I'll add a smidgen of cayenne to the dough, maybe some other herbs too to give it a little more umph. I liked the dipping sauce too, and also used BBQ sauce as an additional dipping sauce. MMM. I bet I'll find more uses for both the dough and the sauce.

These were fun to make and fun to eat. I cut regular hot dogs in half and put them on skewers. I didn't roll the dough out because I didn't have time. I just used my hands to put the dough on and I think the skewers really helped with this part. Make sure you don't put on too much dough. I also added a spoonful of sugar to the dough. I didn't make the honey mustard sauce- just bought some and also put out some ketchup. These were a big hit at party.
