I think this is a geat recipe. Based on other reviews, I made mine with half and half and I also added Old Bay as well as a touch or cayenne pepper. Fabulous!

This is a great way to make clam chowder in a hurry, the only thing I added was a pinch of thyme. Everyone in my family loved it, after trying 2 other recipes and failing. Thanks for the recipe, its a keeper!

After reading the some of the reviews, I was super-excited about this recipe, but, to be honest, it fell really flat! I used milk (as the grocery store was closed and I lacked cream or half and half) and ended up having to add a lot more flour to give it some oomph. Texture aside, I found the flavor to be really weak and ended up adding a bottle of clam juice, some onion powder, some paprika, some old bay, some worschestershire sauce, some celery seed, more salt, and a bit of sherry. I'm not saying it sucks as it's a good starting point (and better than I anticipated a microwaveable chowder to be), it just didn't live up to the hype.

We loved this recipe. I did substitute a bit of heavy cream for some of the milk to make sure it was nice and thick. So easy - so good!

My family loved this recipe. I changed the milk to 2 cups and 1/4 cup of heavy cream to thicken it. It helped a lot. Also I added shrimp and put the soup in sourdough bread bowls. I can't rave enough about how great this recipe is. Thanks for posting!!!

Of all the Clam Chowders I've made, this one tastes the most like Clam Chowder. A lot of the ones on here I've tried don't taste like Clam Chowder but they're still good... just not clam chowdery. Anyway, this one tasted like clam chowder and I really liked it. My only problem with it was it was kind of thin. I like my chowder to be thicker. Will make again but next time I'll add more flour.

This recipe is really good. I chose to make it on the stovetop tho. Really quick and tasty.

The chowder was good but not as flavorful as I would like. I had a bit of a problem with the whole microwave thing.... My bacon melted my bowl. So I ended up making the recipe on the stove and only using the microwave for the potatos. It still was very quick.

Family loved it; could not have been easier. Added extra clams because that is the way they like it.
