My filling bubbled up through the topping so much that there was very little "topping"; most of it baked into the middle and bottom of the cherries. Thumbs up for being quick and easy, though-- my daughter made this as a treat before school! We'll probably try it again.

Terrific quick dessert! I added a good sprinkle of cinnamon to the topping and served with a dip of vanilla ice cream.
