Kinda bland tasting, added sugar to them after taking them out of the oven. However the parchment paper is great, never used it before, now I'll use it all the time.

Altho I dont have parchment paper and living in a small town its not likely I'll get it either, this was a fabulous recipe. My kids loved the cookies as did my SO. I like to see a great tasting cookie using the "basics". I will definatly use this one many times!

I love this recipe! I have been looking for a good sugar cookie recipe for a long time now! I am very picky about the taste and texture of cookies- and this recipe was a hit! I used the sugar cookie frosting recomended by another user which is: Sugar Cookie Frosting, submitted by Kathy Brandt.

These were really tasty! I made them today with the Sugar Cookie Frosting off this site, and I am sick to my tummy from all the warm cookies! My husband prefers his mother's hard cookies more, but he is also sick next to me! Great recipe! I will definetly make again. I also tried it with the nutmeg and it gave it a nice seasonal taste.

Normally I just do sugar cookies for the kids, for fun. They usually end up in the garbage after the end of the week,but these, YUM. These are good and I didn't have to throw any away, frosted or not they got eaten either way!!!

Great taste, but mine weren't that soft...probably something I did...Anyway, the dough was tough to work with, way too sticky and got warm too fast. I wasn't able to roll it out and use cutters so I made drop cookies instead (flattened them a little). Those came out well. I would make them again, but only as drop cookies.

The cookies turned out very soft, but the batter was hard to work with, very sticky, I had to add a lot of flour to work with it. I will make this recipe again, the taste and texture is very good.

I have been searching for a cut-out cookie that had a good flavor without the frosting -- these cookies are the best. They are a good basic cut-out cookie and they taste great even before all the frosting!

the only problem i had with this recipe is i had a very hard time using cookie cutters without the dough sticking to everything, i floured everything very generously and it didn't make a difference.the cookies did not come out to the shapes we wanted but the cookies were very tasty anyways and the kids had a good time decorating them.

I hated making rolled sugar cookies until I tried this recipe. The dough is very easy to work with and the results are great! These taste like the soft sugar cookies one can order from a well-known gourmet cookie company.
