Original Recipe Yield 6 - 8 servings
 

Ingredients

  • 1 (12 ounce) package fresh cranberries
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar

Directions

  1. Place cranberries in a bowl of clean water. Pick through, discarding stems and rotten berries. Drain berries.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine berries, 1 1/2 cups water, and sugars. Cook over high heat, and let come to a boil. Boil, uncovered, for 5 minutes. Spoon off any foam that forms. Serve hot or cold.
