Rotel instead of regular. Cook pasta separate. Add taco mix and garlic.

Easy and speedy for a mom and business woman with little time. My only mistake was overdoing the spices (took too much of the reviewers advice). My husband likes a lot of kick and he loved it, but my mother-in-law and I thought it was a bit much. I used rotel tomatoes with chilis, mexicorn, garlic powder, worchestire sauce (good flavor) and too much taco seasoning. All in all it was good (my 22 month year old ate it up), but probably not the right mix of spices. It was user error on this one. I'm sure try #2 will be much better next time.

A big hit with my wife and kids. They are both a little picky, especially the kids. I added some taco seasoning and a little garilic. I usually make two batches and spice mine up more for some kick.

I made this dish once and was instantly addicted. I didn't change the recipe in any way, I thought it was great as is. It made the house smell delicious too. :)

Not bad for a one pot meal. I added bell pepper and cumin. Next time I'd try adding some sort of spice. Maybe cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes. I also think it would be better using tomatoes with green chilis.

Good base recipe; a lot of potential to play around with the ingredients. It gets two points off because it's FAR from being Mexican... come on, chili powder is the only spice? I had to add cumin, crushed red pepper, and tabasco sauce to make it even CLOSE to spicy. I also opted for the "spicy nacho" cheese made by Sargento. Needs a lot of tweaking if you're gonna put "Mexican" in its title...

This was good, the next day. The first day I cooked it, it was very bland. Needs more seasoning, extra hot sauce, salt, and needs a day for the flavors to combine. If I make again, I wouldn't eat it till the next day.

Thought I had tomato sauce, turned out not to, did have taco sauce. Made a great substitution and did not have the blandness problem others talked about. Turned out very good. Very good spice combo with the oregano and chili powder. Thanks for a good recipe.

My husband and I really liked this recipe! After reading the reviews about it being bland I did change a few things....I used two cans of Rotel instead of one can of diced tomatoes...I also used two teaspoons of chili powder and add a teaspoon of cumin. Will definitely make again!

I added a roasted/chopped poblano pepper.. thought it added really good flavor. Also used left over taco meat that was in the fridge and cooked noodles separate. Fantasic easy dish, tasted even better the next day after the flavors came together!! Yum.

Good, but bland.... which is an easy fix. I think next time I'll just add a packet of Taco Seasoning. I don't usually find things bland either, so it was a surprise that even after adding extra chili powder and even cumin that it was bland still. I don't even usually use a salt shaker!

Sorry, but this is a version of chili-mac and it is WAY too bland. Good starter. Kick it up with cumin, cayenne, garlic and extra macaroni.
