This was great Mexican rice. I cooked the onions a little before adding the rice, but that was the only change I made. Everyone liked it!

Tastes better than the taco shops rice! Very easy and authentic. It came out nice and fluffy. Just perfect!

It was alright for a quick fix. I think I'd like to add diced tomatoes and additional seasoning next time.

I made it with "Chile Pork" from this site, it complemented the other dish very well. It does taste like Mexican rice and i liked it. Gave it 5 because it tasted just like what i expected it 2 taste like

This rice is sooooo good!! My husband always has two (or three) servings, and my 2 year old loves it too. I never have garlic salt so I use a combination of garlic powder and salt. Always turns out great!

this is a great base recipe! I did as another reviewer suggested and made it using taco seasoning I instead of the cumin and garlic salt...OMG that was good. I highly recommend it. as others said - don't worry about the rice puffing up... just fry it in the oil for a bit and then simmer it down in the chicken broth - it will fluff up then.

Grew up in SoCal, going to Sombrero's and eating shrimp burritos. Live on the East Coast where they don't know what Mexican is. This recipe makes a proper shrimp burrito. It's a real taste of home.

This is very good. I usually make packaged Mexican Rice, but this is so much better. I used Taco Seasoning I instead of the cumin and salt. I served this with Salsa Chicken from this site and it made a fantastic meal.

reason 4 instead 3 *; stir-frying the rice before hand was great. But too bland, i added chopped tomatoes, garlic an a few more onion, toco seasoning, an chives, a lil cheese. Made it A LOT better.

This rice was so good I couldn't stop eating it!!! I didn't have any garlic powder, but added fresh garlic. I served it with the mexican fish recipe from this site with fresh lime and it was a really good easy weeknight meal. I will make this again and again!
