Mexican Pork Chops Recipe Reviews - Allrecipes.com (Pg. 3)

This is nothing but a plain old pork chop! However, the rest of the dish is a nice flavorful concoction if you use Rotel Original(or Extra Hot) Tomatoes for one of the cans of tomatoes. The 2nd time I made this I used a Tex-Mex rub on the pork chops, used minute rice instead of regular and cooked everything covered for 40 minutes. That was much better. The pork chops were juicy and much tastier.

The porks chops were pointless in this recipes. Very bland, dry. The rice mix was pretty good, but definitely not worth making again.

Oh, this is so good, and so easy. Don't forget to check the extras that I've added.

We love it. I did not drain the oil, I sauted the rice until golden brown (as if making spanish rice) then added the rest. I did drain the beans but not the corn, and green chillies, added some flavor.

Good starting point but it needed a few tweaks to get it how we like it. First I used Adobo seasoning instead of salt, and also added some ground cumin. The canned chillis really didn't provide much of a kick so I threw in a couple of finely diced jalapenos too. Shame I didn't have any cilantro. I cooked it on the stove top so I could keep an eye on the rice. Not bad at all. Thanks!

I really enjoyed this, and I felt I was eating pretty healthy (even though it did all come from cans). This would be great on a weeknight as it takes so little effort. I did not read the reviews before making, otherwise I would have added some seasoning to the chops as I was browning them. I definitely will reduce the cooking time by at least 10 min. The chops, though tender, were too dry and so was the veggie rice mix.

Didn't like this one. The chops were dry and not enough flavor. Probably won't make it again!

I tried many of the tips found in other reviews. I think this was the best. I didn't brown the pork chops-instead I seasoned them with adobo, chili powder, smoked paprika, Mrs. Dash, and pepper. They were tender and flavorful. I added quinoa instead of rice. I really like the addition of the nuttier flavor. I also added recaito-cilantro cooking base. It brought out the chilis and the tang in the tomatoes. I cooked it covered the whole time. This was really good. I will be making it again and sharing with friends.
