  1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook mostaccioli at a boil until cooked through yet firm to the bite, about 11 minutes; drain.
  2. Cook and stir ground beef in a large pot over medium-high heat until crumbly, evenly browned, and no longer pink, 5 to 7 minutes. Drain and discard any excess grease.
  3. Add picante sauce and stewed tomatoes to the ground beef; cook, stirring occasionally, until the tomatoes soften completely, about 10 minutes. Gently stir the cooked mostaccioli into the ground beef mixture. Add Mexican-style cheese; cook and stir until the cheese is melted, about 5 minutes.

It's tastes like really good Hamburger Helper! I used "La Morenita" Mexican melting cheese.It has bits of mild green & red peppers.Easy to make!

This was just OK. It needed more salsa for flavor, and I ended up adding some taco seasoning and salt & pepper too. Could've used more tomatoes as well. I suppose I would make this again to use up leftover taco meat, but it needs some tweaks.

Very easy meal. Subbed Johnsonville mild Italian sausage for the beef, Doubled up on the canned tomatoes and used tomatoes with mild green chilis and subbed mild enchilada sauce for the picante(didn't have any). Also added some onions with the sausage as it browned. The men in the house enjoyed this!

Yum! I did everything it asked but added taco seasoning, half of an onion, Italian seasoning and seasoning salt. A little bit of regular salsa. So good!!
