This was wonderful. I made it as in the recipe using equal amounts salsa and water. I also used a little more cheese on the top layer. And to make it even easier, I used an oven-proof skillet so it went straight from stove top to oven! It's a great meal that was fairly fast and everyone enjoyed it.

Ok at first I said 4 stars. But I made it again 2 days later for a dinner with friends (and because my husband and I were craving it). The casserole was gone before I got my fill and I got so many compliments on this EXTREMELY easy and quick recipe. Don't change a thing and you will be happy with the results!

With the advice of other reviewers this turned out perfect. Lots of sauce and great flavor. Will make again.

This was a great recipe to start with, but I feel it would have been kind of blah without some of the changes I made, suggested by other reviewers: Sauted onions and minced garlic with the chicken, and added lots more salsa than called for. I also ended up adding some cumin and chili powder when I tasted it after simmering and decided it still needed something. Oh, and I used the liquid from the corn and black beans instead of adding water, and added a can of green chilis. My husband wasn't a fan of the tortilla chips on top, he said he would prefer the whole mixture wrapped up enchilada style and baked. I think I'll try that next time.

Great recipe!!! The only thing different I did was sautéed onion and garlic. Served with guacamole on top, yum...

This was great but i thought it should be either the inside to a burrito or a dip. Too heavy for little ol' me. Boyfriend LOVED it though. Definately needed the cyan pepper sauce to kick it up, not spicy enough.

Fantastic! My semi-picky 19 month old loved it! I had some leftover marinated chicken (Mrs Dash Garlic & Herb marinade)that I used instead of plain chicken. Also, I used the whole can of corn (mine was a 15 oz can) and added in more salsa instead of water. I probably doubled the salsa. My hubby, MIL, daughter and I all loved this recipe! Will make again and probably try freezing it.

Outside of adding about 1/4 cup of water, my family loved this recipe as is. And it is great for leftovers for the next days lunch. Thanks

My family gobbled this up. We all really enjoyed!! I followed others tips and kept most of the juice from the beans and corn instead of the water and increased the salsa to about a half cup. I tore up flour tortillas and made two layers. Was not dry at all. I will be making again. Thanks for the recipe.

I wanted to make something different, but I was a little nervous my kids wouldn't eat it. Turns out my husband and 5yr son loved it, and my 3yr daughter liked it enough to eat most of her portion. I'll definitely use it again. I use a can of diced tomatoes instead of salsa, and eat tortilla chips on the side, rather than baking them in.

Very good; black beans make the dish. I boiled the chicken instead of cooking it in the pan and then I just mixed all the ingredients together in the casserole dish. Worked fine! 13-yr old had 3 helpings!

This recipe was excellent. What I did with my casserole was I added onions and garlic just like others who had made this recipe did, and also I added jalopeno peppers to one casserole and left the other regular. Overall this recipe was fun easy and delicious.

The whole family loved this dish! I skipped the oven step though- Just served it in individual bowls with shredded cheese on top. Skipped the chips- didn't have any. Would be super yummy with a plop of guacamole and/or sour cream on top, served over rice. Tastes a little bit like a burrito bowl from Chipotle. Yummy!

This is a god recipe. You can really add anything your family likes that would go on a taco or burrito. Easy and not a lot of work to make.

I increased chicken to 3 lbs, added 1/2 cup of heavy cream, 1/3 cup sour cream, diced jalapenos, sauteed onions, garlic powered, dash cayenne pepper, diced tomatos and used organic tortilla chips. Really good. Will make it again!

I made this last night & we usually have leftovers but not with this dish! 3 kids & 1 hubbie enjoyed it. This is also a VERY EASY dish to make. I added more cheese but everything else stayed the same.
